Many things went through Leonard’s mind as the searing bolt of rainbow light struck him in the back. Why did he decide to become an Electrician when his father always told him to be a lawyer? Why did he agree to work in a backwoods part of germany filled with scary villagers and castles? Why did he drink that cup of coffee Poppi offered him after he asked for her payment option? But the main thing on his mind was: “OH GOOD GOD THIS HURTS”.The flower flew through the air, the back of his nice two piece suit melted into his skin. The hallway around him had already been weakened by the rocket Tenchi launched, it seemed the beam that the Shinigami sent was enough to collapse one of the walls on top of him. After a few seconds, only one thing could be heard from underneath the rubble of the fallen wall: “Ow”As Jeremy entered the broken walls of the Castle, he and his team would be treated to what was once a beautiful example of expert masonry, now turned to rubble. Dozens of doorways dotted the hallways, but only one of the doors were opened. If they decided to enter they would find themselves in a maze of other hallways, eventually leading to a large steel door with “DO NOT ENTER UNLESS TOLD” Written above. Below would be a sticky note stating “PS - Except for Arcadia because she’s the only one of you dolts who knocks ]:<”
Poppi was only further enraged by the continued shaking of the castle. Were Arcadia and two of her best servants really having this much trouble with- The woman stopped for a moment, eyes widened. The security cameras stopped working, the Reiryoku scanners showed bright figures on the horizon, and she had gotten no response from anyone when she had sent that previous message. Now the castle was shaking like it was being...struck...by… “Oh...those aren’t villagers, are they?” She’d say to no one in particular. Footsteps could be heard outside the door, almost giving the woman a heart attack. Quickly she’d run to a button next to the door and slammed her hand on it. Several layers of inch thick steel would slam in front of the already large doorway. For extra measure the door would also light up with electricity and strange runic symbols. Wards to prevent Kido, Electricity to prevent door punching. This was only a temporary measure, however, only intended to give her more permanent escape route time to power up. Poppi turned to look at a large, circular device lighting up. The door could hold against these guys for maybe an hour or two. It was really the only weak point in this entire room. Quickly she’d run back to her Experiment. If she needed to she could unleash him early. He wouldn’t be as powerful but the mind altercations should remain indefinitely… If worse came to worse, she could simply escape through the portal with him to Hueco Mundo and finish there… But that was enough planning, she needed to keep working, lest these barbarians break through and ruin all her work. Arcadia growled a little, witnessing that despite her Soul constricts locking Vayle in place, the Shinigami had managed to dodge every single one of her attacks, including a final blow from her Asauchi, one which merely cut through a strand of her opponent's hair. That's... not how it should have went. She should have spliced through Vayle's skin, infused her Hollow Reishi into her bloodstream, and the battle would have basically been finished... Vayle suddenly help up her reactor and Arcadia braced for impact, only to witness that the powerful stream of Kido rushing from it went not towards her, but instead towards Leonard in the distance, blasting him to smithereens. Before Arcadia could even react, Bertrand suddenly got thrown towards her, not that she wasn't able to react to it in time, catching her fellow Flower with her hand. Only then did she notice, however, that Jeremy and his squad had escaped into the corridors of the palace. That... that wasn't good. And yet she could not simply leave, because Vayle needed her full attention. " By the Mistress, this is utter chaos..." Arcadia muttered onto her breath, tossing Bertrand rather violently to the ground. Where the hell was Ignorn, too? Was he still occupied with the rocket launcher wielder on the other side of the castle?! How the hell could a rocket launcher wielder be this hard to fight... The thought of laying the finishing blow to that useless electrician and ending his miserable life for his failure popped to her mind, but she quickly tossed it aside, instead turning straight towards Vayle. " Arcadia, you can take on the Shinigami, I'll head back to the castle and eliminate-" Bertrand was trying to form a basic plan of operations, only to suddenly get shot down by the Fullbringer, who stated: " Sorry, but no. You're staying here. The sooner this woman is reduced to a stain on the ground, the better." Well that's my idea straight out the window. Bertrand was expecting Arcadia to seek a one against one battle and use it to escape to the castle, where he could join with Jeremy and help him take out the Teacher before she completes her project - and yet, that wasn't an option anymore. Gritting his teeth, the Flower opted to not resist. He and Arcadia both pressed their hands and activated each of their techniques in unison. " Death Sign: Illusion Step!" "Death Sign: Paralyzing Chains!" Arcadia suddenly started to multiply, several of her "clones" popping up across the battlefield - they were mere illusions, tricks on the Shinigami's mind. Bertrand's technique, on the other hand, manifested as a barrage of energy draining chains similar to the ones he had used against Jeremy and his squad, aiming to ensnare Vayle and keep her locked down. The Fullbringer charged forward instantly, the Asauchi in her hands swinging with telekinetic force and slashing towards Vayle in a flurry of attacks. Bertrand, on the other hand, remained in the back, keeping a distance from the battle and only occasionally firing deep red energy beams from his finger. In the midst of it all, he reached out to the Fullbringer with telepathy. Try to cause a commotion of some sort. An explosion, or a star barrage like the one before. "And here I thought it was personal for you. Guess what I did didn't really matter that much in the end..." Vayle jabbed, wincing despite herself at the comment. Hopefully Arcadia wouldn't notice the movement as- " death Sign: Illusion step!" Oh. no worries. Lady Arcadia was far too focused on kicking her ass. Vayle kept her eyes peeled as she focused on the other arcadia clones. she was fast - and Vayle couldn't tell which one was the real mccoy from just a glance. Reishi sensing didn't help one bit, either. Vayle took a deep breath. The first strike she noticed just in time due to the wind moving just an instant before it, pushed out of the way by Arcadia's own blade. The Shinigami side-stepped. "I told you a sword wouldn't be enough, didn't I?" Vayle taunted. Her expression changed to one of horror as she realized she'd put far too much focus on that one attack. Chains struck into the shinigami's torso, pulling her down to her knees and leaving gashes in her skin. Did Arcadia plan that out? The Shinigami looked up to see the woman's next strike sneak in like a thief in the night, and Vayle dodged to the side as best as she could held down by iron chains. she managed to avoid the next slash by a hair, and instantly regretted it as she felt her very soul recoil from the movement. The attack Arcadia used on her last was still affecting her, it seemed. "...Tch. Today's not my-" The shinigami began, before blood was drawn on her side. Bertrand's beams had distracted her just long enough to leave her open to Arcadia's blade. Vayle was inches away from being hit by the attack, and the shinigami closed her eyes at what might have been a death blow- no. Something inside her said. She thought of Jeremy, of his team of soldiers rushing through this castle at this very moment. If she fell here... He wouldn't let her hear the end of it, would he? not after that speech. The shinigami focused everything she had on stepping back just in time to make the strike hit air, as she was crushed down by the The tone and sound made it sound like some admission of submission, or at least as though she had no strength left to throw out. Masonry and antiques on display rushed passed Jeremy as he sprinted through the long hallways of the castle, the sound of battle behind him as he made it deeper into the enemy stronghold. The place was poorly guarded on the inside, seemingly left to the flowers to be the defenders here. Against a weaker enemy or a full frontal assault, they would have had only needed to crush them at the wall. With their first line of defense subverted, Team blue found the paper rose society had front loaded their defense and they were now left to run amok inside their base if they felt like doing so. And at least some of them felt like doing so. “This place is atrocious.” Remilia commented as they paused for a moment, attempting to gain their bearings. “I can agree. This Pappi seems to have an obsession with medical procedures and pain,” Lionel says as he examines a display case nearby, dried specimens left vivisected, though the body had been mutilated beyond a point of identifying what they once were. Disturbingly, the medical wiz kid could tell the wounds were added deliberately. “From what we know about her from the briefing, I can’t be a surprise.” “I wasn’t talking about that, “Remilia corrected the younger agent, her armor hiding her look of contempt only those of gilded upbringing to manage. “I mean, look at this place! Medieval castle, clashing with Napoleonic furniture and east asian art. No attempt at theming, poor coloring, just expensive stuff thrown around.” “We’re in the middle of a life or death fight with a powerful enemy and you’re critiquing her interior design choices?!” Lionel is left stunned at his teammate’s casualness. “She’s a villain!” “Yes, and an important part of being a villian is wowing the people you’re trying to kill! She doesn’t deserve this- this is actually really nice” She yelled as she was in the midst of picking up some priceless vase to smash it to the floor, only to tuck it under her arm instead. “Now is not the time,” Jeremy glanced to the two for the childishness. “Need to find our target and subdue them. Just need to find them,” he thinks aloud, looking through the maze of corridors. “It could take forever, this place is like a-” “Found it,” Alex interrupts the soldier as he pointed out a door covered in sticky notes across a kitchen they had been standing next to. The soldier is surprised, but just keeps his complains to himself as they moved over. As the other three unpacked shaped charges and small bundle of thermite gel, Jeremy glanced up and down the door and the notes. Even with all the protection her nigh invulnerable bunker could offer, it seldom helped to suppress noise. Some might find this to be useful, being able to hear what possible enemies were planning to do. All Poppi could hear was her interior design sensibilities being insulted. They break into her home, break her things, insult her fashion choices, and call HER the villain in this? Poppi’s eye twitched slightly as she tried her best to keep her temper down and focus on finishing. That was until four loud knocks emanated from the door, which was the breaking point for the small woman. “LISTEN HEAR YOU PIECES OF CRAP!” She shrieked back. “THOSE WERE GIFTS FROM A VERY CLOSE FRIEND, AND IF YOU BROKE ANY OF THEM I AM GOING TO-” She’d stop as a hand grasped her wrist. Poppi looked down at her newest experiment, unfinished but seemingly awoken by the loud noises. Those damn fools woke him up ahead of time with all their smashing! Oh now she wanted to hurt them… Screw finishing him, he was able to stand up to Arcadia without augments, he could take these buffoons down no problem… Yes, she’d teach them all for messing with her. Once they were finished with all of these barbarians, it was off to Hueco Mundo to escape any more of these annoying incursions. Poppi looked down at her experiment with a smile. “Get ready, dear. We have company”
After a few moments, the Thermite had burned it’s way through the entirety of the doorframe. Most of the spells and wards dedicated to defending the door were actually on the door, using the doorframe had completely bypassed most of them. The heavy steel slab groaned slightly before toppingly outwards, showing an entirely dark room. On closer inspection, two yellow dots could be seen in the darkness, staring intently at the invaders. “Kill them” A female voice said quietly. In front of the yellow dots a large red ball of energy began to form before erupting outwards in a single devastating beam of energy. It carved its way through the castle walls and out the roof, creating a bright light show in the sky for all to see. Slowly stepping forward was an almost emaciated man with numerous scars running along his body. His skin seemed unnaturally pale, with his face hidden behind a plain white mask which resembled an owl’s face. Scrapping behind him would be an Asauchi, which he lifted and pointed towards the invading party. The man’s eyes would flicker from Yellow to green as Poppi came walking out of the room, standing behind the man. “Which of you were insulting my decor?” She’d ask smugly. The bolt of lightning fired from Vayle's hands exploded in a shower of light and destruction, shaking the entire castle and coating its left side in a vast cloud of dust and smoke. In this chaos and disorder, one of the three Reishi signatures in the battlefield vanished, flash-stepping away and sneaking back into the castle, leaving the Fullbringer and the Shinigami all alone. A silence set down for a few seconds, before a brief glint of a corrupted Asauchi moved across the air, and a sentence filled the air:
"Death Sign: Spirit Shackle."
The wounds Arcadia had left on Vayle's body were imbued with her Hollow Reiatsu much like the blade of her weapon was, like a poison made out of her spiritual energy, and upon a mere incantation, this poison would activate, sending agonizing pulses of pain coursing through the victim's body. A chilly wind would rush across the castle, blowing away dust and smoke as it went and starting to clear the cloud out.
"Can you feel it?"
The wind revealed a twisted visage upon Arcadia's features, her eyes glaring towards Vayle in never-ending fury, and hands clasping her Asauchi even tighter.
"Can you feel it? The pain... of having lost the one person you could get close to, the one person you could trust, them being ripped straight out of your hands and replaced with misery... Can you feel the pain of endless torment, of torture, of brutal, unquenched hatred towards your very being, and the only solace you can find being passing on that pain to someone else..."
Arcadia closed her eyes for a second, a set of telepathic weapons of various shapes, sized and forms floating behind her like a pair of spiky, metallic wings, all imbued with her Hollow Reiatsu and ready to strike. "And I'm passing that pain onto you. Choke on it, you monster..."
The weapons all turned straight towards the Shinigami in unison, then struck forward faster than a speeding bullet, aiming to slash and pierce at the woman without mercy.
Bertrand flash-stepped across the empty, barren castle as fast as he could, but as it turned out, he was too late. A powerful beam of energy carved its way through the walls, nearly catching the Flower off-guard as he raced against time. And the Shinigami, alongside his friends, whom he allowed to escape was here, facing the brunt of the technique. Lacking few other options - he wasn't going to be able to take the attack easily himself, either - Bertrand summoned a bubble of Reishi around himself and the squad of allies. While it did not take the attack all by itself, it would be able to soften it by quite a bit.
Soon, Poppi herself spoke, her voice as disgusting as always and her words once again carrying little relation to reality. The mere sight of her would, in the past, cause Bertrand to turn straight and step away in fright - but he wasn't afraid anymore. He had allies and, most importantly, he had hope.
"Me." he blankly responded to Poppi's question, raising his right hand as a finger gun, taking aim and firing one powerful red beam of Reishi straight towards the Teacher. ARCADIASUMMARY Shocked for 4 turns! Status Damage: Direct Damage: Vayle Attack #1: Star Magic - vs 125 def - miss!

The plus would be surprised as the flurry of blows came his way, yet he would stand perfectly still. Allowing the man to get closer, the hellwalker would utter a series of words causing a barrier of flames to surround him. Sure, the fists would impact his body, and deal some damage. At the same time, the brute of a man would perhaps be burned himself. Hellfire could sizzle the very soul, hopefully this human would feel it. The rishi in the air was strong as both Vayle and Jeremy were fighting the forces of the coven. Tenchi decided it would be best to finish off Ignorn quickly and move in to help Jeremy, considering their power difference. "Not much of a talker I take it? That's fine, we can talk some other time then..."The flames surrounding the hellwalker would soon reform themselves into a flaming battle axe. It burned with hell's might, and Tenchi planed on using it. Rearing back the weapon, the man would launch on mighty swing at the human. He was aiming for the torso, but anywhere would do. As long as the weapon could make contact, it was a solid hit. "Lets see just how powerful you are..." if the attack hit, Tenchi would leave the area to assist his other two allies. With their entryway opened, Blue team raised their weapons towards the darkness, prepared to breach in and clear the area out. What they saw within the darkness seemed to have been a single set of glowing eyes, causing a moment’s hesitation as the shadow concealed their identity. But terror washed over the humans as the command was given by the torturer, and an orb of red annihilation aimed at the surprised troops. “Look out!” Jeremy warned, to no avail. There was no time to dodge away before the Cero bored through the area, bathing it in sunlight. Jeremy could feel his body burn away in the power of the attack, his armor only taking some of the force but he could see blaring red warnings of his armor’s coming collapse. The force of the attack pushed him back and the pain was so great it took him to his knees. It seemed against such a powerful foe, he had lead the others to their death. But the searing crimson light began to wane, a barrier of light enveloped the soldiers and saved them from the worst of the attack. It shattered once the attack had died down, it left blue team still harmed but more importantly intact. Jeremy glanced to their new arrival standing defiantly against the monster and their master. Bertrand might have been a wild card in this fight, but Jeremy would take this over fighting alone. “About time you showed up,” Jeremy snarled as he raised his shotgun at the beast. It’s withered form looked unnatural, dull eyes stared back with no light deep within it. Whoever this person once was, they were not a living being any longer. It moved with deft speed and precision attack, and with each swing another part of the architecture was sundered, which forced team blue to scatter to keep it from cleaving through several of them. Jeremy’s shotgun barks as he fired buck shot at the beast, he weaved away from one sword strike as it obliterated a wall. “I am getting sick of fighting things stronger than me.” He grumbled. Even though he survived the attack. Every step was painful and he needed to be quick on his feat. “Lionel, make sure that little turd doesn’t get away. Alex, give this guy a headache,” and as he said that, a gravition hammer rocked where the mindless fighter stood, “and Remilia, get the homing beacon set.” As the teenager pulled a cylinder from her pack, Jeremy charged in again and swung his clawed hand in the cramped space of the castle halls. Vayle looked from side to side, trying her hardest to find Arcadia through the radiation of her own energy. she hadn't thrown enough power in that bolt to take her out of the fight, and while the smokescreen plan would work out well for Bertrand's escape, it also left Vayle blind - and against Arcadia, that was a dangerous position to be. The death god was in luck, though, turning just in time to find Arcadia's shadow within the cloud, muttering something- Vayle's body went rigid as gripping sunk through her, eating away, not at her body, but at her heart. The death god crumpled to her knees as the crushing feeling sank into her body, through her bones. The weight of Arcadia's words sunk into her body. This... it had to be Poppi's doing. She wasn't... She wasn't worth this much to a human. she couldn't have been. Even if that human had been worth so much to her. stick to the plan. They'll just twist her up even more. She'll never believe you. Shinigami are masters of self-control.Vayle looked into Arcadia's eyes even as weapons formed into beautiful wings. I'm sick of this.The pain burning in her chest lifted only a little, as she closed her eyes. "Of course I can feel it. I'd have to be made of stone, not to." The shinigami responded, as her weapon whirred to life, shooting down the weapons coming straight towards her with pin-point bolts of light, making up for where she lacked, just as Mahoutsukai always had. "I've felt it, every single day. Every single moment." The raven-haired girl replied, her cocky smile starting to falter, turn crooked as Arcadia struck. "I've never stopped feeling that pain, since the day I let them take you away from me. and I'm sick of hiding it." The shinigami gently let her energy fade to it's minimum, ready to dodge any attacks, but not focused on striking herself. Instead, her focus was simply on replenishing her own reserves. She'd just elected to make this job much harder on herself - but to continue this farce, to pretend to be some enemy to someone she cared about so deeply - to not help her, even if that help was misguided and useless - That was so much more intolerable. Igorn would lift up his arms to catch the axe. With a sickening slash, the axe embedded itself into Igorn’s forearms, sizzling slightly before being torn out by Igorn himself. The large man fell to a knee and grasped at the deep gashes. With a pained grunt the man forced himself back to standing, stumbling around a bit as he did so. It would appear the man was well and truly finished, taken out of the fight with a few simple attacks from Tenchi... That was until a loud shriek began to echo throughout the battlefield. Without a second thought, Igorn launched up into the arm towards the familiar voice, all the pain he felt masked by the sudden rush of adrenaline. He needed to save his master.
Directly after Bertrand had fired an attack towards Poppi, the monstrous creature set itself between it’s master and the traitorous Servant. Poppi sat on the ground, cradling her now bleeding leg. Tears filled the woman’s eyes as she looked to Bertrand, her face contorting from confusion, sadness, and finally resting on anger. “Y-you...you betrayed me? How…” She struggled to find words, the sudden betrayal of one of her closest servants catching her completely aback. Before Bertrand could respond, however, a fist would come crashing into his face and launch him through several walls. The owner of the fist, Igorn, would continue to follow after the traitor. Several loud cracking punches could be heard, each sounding further and further away. The sniveling woman gave a glare which could cut steel to the High Spec humans and arriving Hellwalker. “You… You all ruined everything” She growled out. “I’m going to make you all suffer… Take them down, but don’t kill them, Takano…” She stated to the creature. It would look from Jeremy’s squad and then to Tenchi. Something seemed to click as it’s eyes fell upon the former Revenant, a new Cero forming and launching out towards the man. If anyone was to get too close to the small witch, the monster would shift it’s attention to that person and prepare another attack. The creature would take a step back slightly as it was impacted by Jeremy’s assault shotgun. Alex’s hammerstrike would be stopped short of hitting, however, as the creature grasped the hammer head with it’s hand. Quickly it would swing the hammer, and Alex in front of Jeremy to block his Neuro Gauntlet from impacting. It let out a loud Hollow shriek as the slight cuts from the Buckshot slowly began to heal. Summary: Bertrand and Igorn have left the battle, Poppi has been too injured to run. HOLLOW INSTABILITY: Due to the rushing of the experiment, the creature has a 50% chance to lose one of it’s Defensive Techniques. DkrdCaOs1d100 50% 1d4 Which Technique is lost - Clash CREATURE
