As Vayle had just finished her own battle, Revenant would feel the force of a two ton fist crashing into him, and sending him flying into a large concrete building. Covered in dust, the plus would slowly walk out with his two blades drawn, his armor looked worse for wear, but he had sustained minimal damage from the blow. Smirking he would remark, "Your good, but there are many Shinigami that can hit much harder than that... Vayle being one." the brute would hardily laugh at his foes suggestion of weakness, responding with a self absorbed "No Shinigami can rival me! Not even a stupid armored one!"
Revenant would the bulky arrancar would enter into a vicious fight. Revenant's blade's would tear through the beast's skin, cut by cut, while the hollow's punches took a toll on Revenant's stamina. The battle seemed to be coming to a draw, but both of them would be depleted of reishi if things went on the way they were going currently.
Eventually, a crushing blow would be enough to send Revenant flying far into the air. He was filled with pain by the blow, and slowly beginning to lose consciousness. When he returned, crashing into the ground, the arrancar would be there to laugh at his failure. "Bahahah! See, I told you that a puny soul like yourself could never take on a warrior like myself! My muscles are spiritual power in it's fullest form, and you will be crushed under them tonight!" Revenant would turn around from being face down on the ground, and see another fist coming his way. He needed to bring up a secret weapon of his... The armored spirit would whisper "Modified Hondu 37! Spiked armor!" before the hollow's eyes and his own, revenant's armor would become covered in deadly spikes.
Argrres shrugged, "a few spikes aren't going to save you! Hahaha!" the creature then began rapidly pummeling Revenant with his giant fists. He had continued these punches for a full minute, and Revenant stayed awake through all of it. The arrancar eventually started to sweat and tired himself out. "Ha... How do you like that little soul!" Revenant would stand from the ground slowly, he was covered in blood, but it wasn't his own... "Take a look at those fists of yours hollow..."
The creature would raise up his two arms, to see bloody stumps where his hands use to be. "Your an idiot... You broke your only weapon against my body, and now you'll die for that error..." before the hollow could even respond to Revenant, the armored man would leap at the behemoth and insert his blade into it's chest. It was a well placed shot, one that would destroy the beast's soul...
"The wast gate huh? I wonder if there are more of you..."

Vayle sighed, as she headed for the next signature. she felt, rather than saw, Revenant break apart one of the big signatures nearby. Luckily, she'd preserved the vast majority of her own stamina thanks to Nozomi's own stupidity, and her own decision to go at less than full speed.
"Vayle? You're doing okay, right?"
Vayle nodded slowly. "I'm fine, Mahoutsukai."
"Will you stay fine?"
"...Revenant doesn't mean more than the lives of those buses.
"...Vayle, can you hear yourself?
The shinigami decided to play dumb instead of answering, only for her broom to slip out of her hands, throw her off, and whack her hard on the head.
"The hell was that for?!"
"I thought you did this because taking him out was your job! now there's some sort of worth to taking him out! Are you even thinking about this rationally anymore!"
"I... it's important to my job to take him out, so it's important to me-"
"it's your job to bring him back to the seireitei and put him in prison, Shale! Or stop him from doing anymore than he has! It's not some bounty. you're not supposed to be aiming for someone's head!"
"Well maybe the world'd be a whole lot fuckin' better if he wasn't around!"
"The guy who's currently saving Olive's life?!"
Vayle's anger suddenly flooded away from her, recoiling like she'd been struck in the face. "but... I was..."
"Vayle, the last time you gave in to thinking like this, you started to seem more like him than you! I..."
A break in Mahoutsukai's voice caught Vayle off guard, and she nearly fell from her position in the sky as she continued.
"I know that's not how you want to be. Even if it feels like you do, sometimes. You know you would have hated yourself later if you'd continued like that. but you're so damn stubborn you won't let yourself think about that."
Vayle's face fell as she nearly closed her eyes.
That proved to be a mistake, as a hooked scythe glistened before her eyes. Vayle dodged back, only to feel a bunch of small impacts strike her back.
"A pity. You seemed distracted. I'd hoped to end your life quickly and painlessly." her newest opponent said. A hollow mask like a monkey's skull and a pure scythe of white ivory were held by a muscled, green hollow.
"I am Eldorad, Guardian of the south gate. It is my duty to take your life."

Now that the threat was gone, Revenant had a second to take a breath. Reaching into a pocket on his belt, the armored man would pull out a small blue crystal. It was a condensed Reiatsu, capable of both healing him and restoring his spiritual power. He was going to need it if he planned on fighting again soon. consuming the crystal would quickly cause his wounds to start closing, and his spiritual power was already coming back to him. All that was left was the other guardians, where was the next one?
Revenant turned to Olive, the girl was petrified in fear from the way he had brutally fought the hollow. He would close his eyes and try to sense her energy, it was vast. The little girl was clearly the target of these Arrancars, and needed him to defend her in the moment. Revenant felt sorry at what was coming for her, he too had once felt the pain of loss from the hollows. They were what hardened him into the barbarian his is now.
He would speak to olive, "How exactly did you end up all the way out here? You and your family must have seen that something strange was going on in this place?" regardless of her answer, Revenant knew she needed more protection than he alone could offer. Raising his hand in the child's direction he would speak, "Bakudo-39, Enkosen." a layer of spiritual armor would surround Olive. If she were to be hit, she may yet survive. "This armor will protect you for now, if one slips past me that is..."
Turning back to the city, a tall and slender arrancar would be standing directly behind him. Smiling with a devilish grin it would speak, "You can try to defend her, but you'll have to be quick if you want to stop me, Gonathor, guardian of the east gate..."

Vayle would turn to the scythe wielder with a glare of defiance. "Eldorad, was it... 20th seat squad member of the seventh division, Vayle Cameo. I'll be your opponent today." The shinigami responded, before bringing up the hakkero with a full charge. A layer of star bullets were quickly fired, hoping to at least force the hollow to dodge. the creature chose not to move, instead moving through the star-shaped blasts without a care.
"I know you murdered my fellow with trickery, so I'm afraid I'm not able to be too nice. I will simply seperate your head from your neck."
Vayle dodged back, feeling her body tense as the strike came through. the weapon cut a trail through the air where Vayle had been moments ago, as she flash stepped out of the strike path.
And suddenly, Vayle couldn't breathe.
The shinigami fell, hacking and coughing, to the ground, as blood poured from her mouth, and from... her neck? There was no way, right...?
"Goodbye, Vayle Cameo. It was good to learn your name. If you'd lasted any longer..."
The shinigami got back up with a cough, wiping blood from her face as an explosion of spiritual pressure lanced out.
"...n...not quite."
"if you... wanted to take my throat... you didn't slice far enough in."
"But that's impossible! I know I-"
But Vayle wasn't listening at this point, as she dashed forward. She figured this was some sort of manipulation of space attack - the attacker struck somewhere he shouldn't, at a distance he shouldn't.
This made it difficult to judge where he'd strike... but Vayle could still gamble on knowing the "when"
A dash in resulted in an incredibly quick slash. The first was avoided with a high-speed burst of shunpo, while the second seemed to hit home for a moment, before revealing itself to simply be cloth.
She knew Mahoutsukai would yell at her later, when the necessity of using this attack would fade from her memory and the concern would cinrease in equal measure, but for now.>>
"Sacrifical sign: Miasma sweep!"
Grabbing onto the hollow, she prepared herself as red and blue energy swept around her.
"...Caught me." Was the slow, sad reply she got from him. "I'm going to miss... the other guardians-"
And then both Vayle and Eldorad were covered in a sweeping explosion in the sky.
The burning shinigami fell from the sky a moment later.

Revenant would spin around with his twin blades, attempting to cleave the slender hollow in half in one fell swoop. In actuality, the arrancar had narrowly escaped his attack causing the blades to slice against the wind. The creature had been telling the truth, it was incredibly fast. With such a slender build that was to be suspected. Revenant would grip his weapons, and grit his teeth, the same aura of black and red surrounded him as he prepared the same old spell. "Modified Hondu 37" the man's armor would transform into a series of razor sharp spikes and thorns. It would help keep the hollow at bay for now...
Gonathor would chuckle at his attempt of defense, and the point his right index finger at Revenant. In a matter of seconds a beam of white light would be fired from it, and would pierce Revenant's armor in a single shot. The blast had even left a bloody hole in the pluses side. Attempting to cover the wound with his right hand, Revenant would grab his automatic pistol with his left. Pulling the trigger, a massive series of bullets would start impacting the hollow. Something was off however, sparks would fly as each bullet bounced off the creature's skin. This was a troublesome feature indeed... "Come now Revenant. Our kind fears you, I thought a man of your caliber would have put up a better fight than that!"
Revenant would groan, but did have an idea... The plus would start retreating towards Olive as the hollow would make chase. Eventually, he would pick the girl up under one of his arms and start running into the air. "Calm down girl, I'm bringing you somewhere safe... I'm going to need your power." The girl was apparently crying profusely, but the armored man couldn't blame her. She was an essential part to step 2 of his plan, hopefully that spiritual power of hers was more than just for show. Eventually, the two of them would reach a high building where they would land on the roof.
Gonathor would not be too far behind them. Revenant set the girl next to his side and began to explain, "Olive, I need your help... I need you to stop crying so you can defeat that monster..." The little girl would wipe the tears from her eyes, as the armored man tried to encourage her. "You have great powers that you are unaware of at the moment, I'll show you how to use them, and defeat that creature." Olive was surprised to hear those words, she would respond with a quiet "umm... Okay..."
Revenant would enter a stance he had only seen once before, and look over to the young girl. "Follow my every move, focus on your inner power, and say what I say... If you do that, this may work." Revenant would closes his eyes and then speak the incantation: "Hadō #63. Raikōhō" while Zena had used this incantation in the past, Revenant had little formal training in the arcane arts, and lacked the kido to pull off a spell of that level. Revenant would look to the right of him however to see the young girl repeating his exact movements and repeating the incantation "Hadō #63. Raikōhō" before their eyes, a massive surge of electrical magic power would shoot from the child's hand. It was more power than Revenant and Vayle had combined, and it consumed the arrancar before it could even beg for it's life. Revenant laughed hardily at the creature's defeat.
He would look over to Olive ruffling her hair, "I can't believe it kid! Your a natural. I can't even use magic like that and I'm over 100. Keep practicing that spell, it'll keep you safe..."

Olive nodded eagerly as Revenant ruffled her hair, grinning wide. She went to say something back, before a sudden frown struck her face. "...Vayle?" The girl would suddenly mutter, as Revenant touched the top of her head.
---elsewhere---
The shinigami held a deep breath, as she fell towards the buildings below. That last blast had done a lot of damage to her body, more than she'd expected. It couldn't be helped - she knew that she wasn't going to figure out that hollow's style of attack in one battle. Not quickly enough. She took in a deep breath, as she felt her body starting to go numb. The blade had cut across her neck... and then she was stupid enough to try an explosion. The fact her face wasn't completely seared off-
Vayle felt a cracking pain smack her directly in the head. the roof of the building shattered from the impact, and she was sent tumbling and rolling into some sort of counter, her momentum ending with a loud 'thud!'. "...Jesus. Surprised I didn't... blow my damn head off." The woman stated.
"Just this once..." She heard.
"W-who's..."
The sound of ivory tinkling against the ground held her attention as she looked to her side. within the bombed out building, there was pieces of fractured ivory falling to the floor below. A skeleton-
Brushing off her hair with a free hand, she felt more white, boney chips, caught up in the mess of her long hair.
"Did I... collide with a skeleton? Ewww, gross, gross, gross!"
Vayle only took a second to react, though. Something was wrong...
That impact had a good shot of killing her. Luckily, it hadn't, but... why? And...
Vayle reached down to her neck, where there once hid a cut across her neck.
The wound was still there, but it seemed it wasn't nearly as deep. what's more, it had already clotted.
"Why am I still alive?"
A crackle like thunder sounded from behind Vayle.
"I wouldn't worry about it. For re-awakening my true form, I wouldn't worry about staying that way too much longer. Nor should the Revenant that intrudes on my domain, or the favored daughter who was brought to join our ranks."
Vayle struggled up to her feet with a feeling of dead weight in her legs, only to almost fall down again as she turned around:
An arrancar holding a vicious sickle, free of the full restriction of a mask and wearing plain white robes, stood before her. his right hand held skeletal claws, and his lazily-tousled white hair fell to the side. an ivory mask that resembled a beetle's face adorned the left side of his face, combined with an extended mandible.
"You stand before the re-combined El'gan the terrible."
The arrancar held up the index finger of his right hand, and choked on spiritual pressure as she was, Vayle struggled to move even an inch to avoid it.
"You'll be my favorite zombie, once we can get a hollow parasite burrowed in that stubborn little head of yours."
A beam of white light burned through her shoulder, and Vayle couldn't help but cry out in pain.
---Meanwhile---
Olive looked up to Revenant, and then off somewhere in the distance - the exact position of Vayle's reishi. As one, the Zombies started to burn away, a blue flame appearing from each, and flying towards one singular position in the town, even as an explosion of Reishi rocketed the area, knocking most of the humans unconscious.
"...Okay bye mister!" Olive managed, before disappearing in a burst of speed.
This caused a scream of horror to emanate from the van, as a man with a buzz-cut stumbled out in horror. "Shit! El'gan sama is going to have my head for letting that kid go! He'll have my hide if he doesn't get that kid! Shit!"
The man would be close to tearing what little remained of his hair out as he kneeled onto the pavement in horror, only to look up at Revenant to realize the full gravity of the traitorous words he had just uttered in front of a man of justice.
"Uhhh... I... can... explain!"

Revenant would suddenly be surprised by the collapse of a building in the distance, it must have been Vayle fighting a powerful foe. The armored man would be able to feel the massive spiritual power from across the town, but that wasn't all he felt. Energy from all the various hollows were being pulled back to their source, this must have been the infamous "El'gan the Terrible" and his reishi. Black Hearth would have told Olive to say put, but she disappeared with a burst of speed! Revenant was shocked that a girl that small had managed to move so fast, especially after only discovering her abilities a few moments ago. At least he would focus fully on fighting El'gan now... Until he heard a man say that he had lost the girl. Revenant would look down at the buzz-cut man sternly "You did what? You mean to say that your were working with the hollow? the plus would jump down from the tall building , landing on top of the van. His arm would reach down, grabbing the man by the collar and lifting him into the air. "You would side with a hollow, an arrancar, to capture an innocent little girl?" the man would be whimpering in fear at this point, and Revenant knew exactly what the punk was thinking. "Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you. Your going to help me fight El'gan..." the man would have a baffled look on his face, "Fight? Him? That would be a death sentence!" the armored barserker would nod lightly, "Yes it would be, but I never said you were directly fighting him." Revenant's zanpakuto would glow with the energy of his rage, as he prepared to strike the street punk. "Wait, what are you--AHHHHHHH!!"The sword would come down across the man' right arm, cleaving the entire appendage off in a single swing. Next, the vengeful plus would slice off the other arm, leaving the man without means of doing harm ever again. "This is how you'll be helping me..." Revenant would sheath his sword and pick up one of the decapitate arms from the ground. He would then start running towards the direction of El'gan the terrible, until he say the powerful insectoid-masked figure in the sky. The creature seemed distracted by Vayle, allowing Revenant to make a surprise attack... It would have to be a good one. Using the severed arm as a baseball bat, he would leap into the air behind El'gan and smack the appendage across the back of the creature's head. He would then drop the limb to the ground saying, "That belonged to your cronies who were trying to exploit the girl... You'll have trouble with her since she can use kido now..." The arm hit the back of the hollow's head with a wet thud, yet it broke completely against the neck of the Arrancar. "...My. I was expecting you to be a little bit slower. You have taken damage from the guardians, have you not?"
The Scythe wielding arrancar would suddenly grow crimson with red cero energy, And Vayle immediately saw what he was doing. focusing her reishi as hard as she could, she leapt towards revenant with all the speed She could muster.
"Cero... asolación."
using all the kido-assisted muscle and flash steps she could manage, She pushed the revenant out of the way just as the man detonated in a flash of red.
In the ensuing devastation, the building they'd fought underneath was gone, a crater being the only evidence it had ever existed. no rubble, no dust cloud, just a simple lack of bank where there once was a decrepit bank was simply an empty, burned-out lot.
"That should've Killed you. It's a pity it didn't... we'll have to continue, then." El'gan said with a grin, as Vayle held up her hand.
"Hado four! Byakurai!"
El'gan held up a hand to stop the electrical lance, and the force stopped with a smoking impression on his palm.
"...The girl, you were talking about? It's no matter. I can kill her at my leisure. Once I'm done with you, that is." Elg'an stated with a chuckle. "In all reality, I'm glad she drew such delicious insects to this blooming flower. with your souls, I might be even on par with a vice captain. Though, that's only when I put all three of you together. By yourselves, you're naught but an entree for the master of death, El'gan!"

Revenant was already raging as the black and red aura gravitated around him, seeing that the hollow had already injured Vayle somewhat only made him more determined to defeat the creature. This hollow was the one he had been looking for, an arrancar with an extraordinary amount of power. "El'gan, you throw you weight around well, but you have yet to--" within a matter of seconds an ability of Vayles would push him out of the way, narrowly avoiding an impressively devastating attack. The beam had manage to miss him, but would collide into a distant building causing it to collapse. Gritting his teeth, Revenant would draw his twin zanpakuto and allow his dark aura to surround each. The brute would raise each of the blades above his head as the power would further infuse itself within each. Revenant would charge directly at the arrancar preparing to strike down the aberration with a mighty blow. The blades would speak to Revenant again, something they hadn't done in quite some time, "Yes, our power grows with every fallen foe. This hollow shall face the fires of hell, and our rage will conqueror all adversaries!" The remark put a smile on Revenant's face as he began to bring the twin blades down on top of the hollow. He didn't know if it would defeat the being or not, but perhaps it would be enough to appear threatening. "You talk big arrancar! Now taste the bite of my blades!" Vayle Cameo

Vayle would turn back. Elg'an was pushed back onto the defensive as he blocked each attack by Revenant, yet it seemed to be with practiced ease, laughing all the while. Vayle gritted her teeth. She knew there was no way they were taking this one on in a straight fight - no way no how. Still, there were other ways to deal with a situation like this, especially when El'gan had already exposed his weakness, focusing entirely on Revenant.
A brilliant rainbow charge would fire up in the reactor. Revenant's array of sword strokes didn't seem to be hitting, but they did keep Vayle from being noticed for just a moment. Taking in a deep breath and gathering her Reiatsu, she charged in, trying to ignore the heavy feeling in her stomach the Arrancar's crushing presence had given her.
"Is this all the Revenant can do? You're more of an animal than the most beastly hollow. Could it just be that you've never fought someone of true skill before."
"Or maybe he's just really good at taking your attention." Vayle would reply, Popping up behind the opponent and holding up a free palm. "Hado Number 54! Haien!" Vayle yelled, before firing a purple ball of condensed reiatsu, brimming with bright flames towards El'gan. Firing a kido that powerful without a full incantation drained her, but she hoped Revenant would see the third part of her plan - after all, if soul cutters could slash apart kido, then perhaps his own blades could do the same. And if they could slash, surely they could deflect it back into an opponent!
El'gan, to his credit, dodged the attack, gazing at it with a grin while holding off Revenant's strikes. Letting it pass right by with a lazy, unfocused dodge, El'gan gave Vayle a chilling smile.
"You really thought an attack like that'd work-"
"Before you give out grades." Vayle would ask with a cheeky smile, showing two open palms. "tell me where my weapon went, hun!"
The mini-reactor Vayle had thrown under El'gan's feet, just a moment before throwing a great big, distracting ball of fire, glowed with light.
"Light Sign! Shoot the moon!"
And then the night sky was pierced by golden light, heading through the clouds, before fading to reveal a slightly damaged El'gan, only possessing a few bruises and scratches.
"You... I'm going to enjoy finishing you off."
Vayle's response was a childish chuckle. "You and what army? We killed it, remember?"
