Running pursuit order: Vayle vs. Revenant

Vayle snorted in derision as Revanant taunted her. "In the hopes of quelling your conquest?" the death god asked with a look of unbridled derision. "I've never heard bigger bullshit in my life. You're just walking around killing things! Don't act like you're any more than a thug."

Squaring up as Revenant came in to strike, Shale grunted as the first strike hit her. "With every hollow you slay?"

The next attack shot straight into her arm as she staggered back from the sword strike. "Dazzle, Mahoutsukai!" She muttered, and before revenant would know it, Shale would scoot off into the air.

"Don't spout nonsense, civilian. Growing stronger from causing death is the domain of hollows. Emptying yourself out isn't strength."

Vayle would hold down her reactor to the ground. "You're just removing that emotional attachment to preserving life with each one that is taken. making it just a little easier to cause harm every time..."

The death god glared at her opponent with unmatched hatred. "What a disgusting way to progress through this life."

Vayle stepped off her broom with a sigh. "Light sign: Earthlight ray"

A row of pillars would fire out from the ground between Vayle and Revenant, Chasing down revenant with concentrated blasts of heat and force

Vayle rolled her eyes as the Revenant's armour let him take the blast without problems. This wasn't her first time fighting the revenant, and she wasn't the same person who freaked out the first time she'd seen it happen. Revenant would not be able to keep it up forever - she'd proven that the other times she'd left him unconscious and broken.

"So what's it gonna take this time?" Vayle would hiss. "Do I have to put you in a full body cast, now? Do I need to break every bone in your body just to make you take your damn punishment like a man?!"

The death god was forced to take another blade to the side, and only barely managed to use shunpo to dodge the second, before building up a short charge in the mini-reactor.

"In the time I've taken to track your selfishness... recover from the injuries you've left..."

The next sword strike would hit home, leaving Vayle groaning from the force as the blade struck her vitals.

"...Do you have *any idea* how many hollows I could've taken care of?"

The response was rhetorical, as Vayle brought up the reactor, ready and waiting with a point blank master spark that she released right in the armored warrior's face.

Vayle took on a shocked look, as her hand was grabbed, pulling her into the rainbow explosion of the Master Spark. The shocked death god would start to scream out in fear in the Revenant's grip... Before her image vanished from his grasp. nothing more than a hollow copy as Vayle stood off to his side. Vayle narrowed her eyes behind the revenant, doing her best to ignore the reishi loss she'd just incurred.

Revenant's rage-fuelled attacks struck with fury, pushing the cameo back. Her movement became focused as she dodged past the attacks, taking a few strikes in the midst of his rage - the eye of the storm - before leaping back to avoid the last avalanche of blows. The Revenant had her on the defensive - certianly, he did - but Vayle wasn't willing to give up, panting as she dodged past the blows, and waited for his next strike. her face kept an eerie silence as the Revenant pushed her back, but she knew she could only keep this up so long. Revenant was an implacable foe, and he'd have more attacks where that came from. at some point, Vayle would need to take her opportunity to go on the attack, or she'd run out of reishi before losing her life.

Vayle grunted as Revenant's next strikes started to come forth. The constant barrage of blows wasn't just rapid, it was absolutely deadly, and the shinigami was forced to watch her opponent's moves carefully. Luckily...

Vayle took a deep breath and stepped through Revenant's strikes. Heavy blows - he always steps in just a little farther than needed to shut down any attempted leaps backward, and forced her back with blows that rely on strength, forcing her to try to avoid guarding against the attacks directly. She'd seen his attacks often enough now, had been forced to deal with Revenant time and time again, that his combos were at last becoming familiar to her.

as his next set of attacks came in, however, the feeling of drained reishi energy rapidly flowed through her as she suddenly felt her footsteps become... heavy. She heard Revenant's voice come in, but it seemed somehow... muted.

"Come now, Vayle." A quiet, soft voice rang on the wind, audible to both. "Why not release that anger, for once?"

Mahoutsukai immediately started talking, saying... something, but Vayle couldn't manage to hear her, it was like listening through water as Revenant's flurry of blows came towards her, a straight blow from his blade threatening to end the fight in one quick movement...


And then, the death god suddenly disappeared. Unlike the normal, silent shunpo, the sudden exit was coupled with an audible boom, as she disappeared from the spot. The death god appeared behind Revenant with her reactor out, pointed at him, and yet not looking up.

"Show him the true depths of your rage." The voice continued.


Vayle took a labourous, audible breath, like a diver who'd just come up for air, as energy poured into the Miniature reactor.

The death god looked up with a furious snarl, her body moving with a jerking motion, like a marionette. The hakkero let out a high whine, nearly identical to a cero, as a Dark purple master spark was unleashed, barreling towards the Revenant.
