Dark Souls (Revenant v Takano)

Revenant would begin to reload his weapon as he watched the Shinigami plan their next move. In most situations, Revenant would have just switched to a different weapon, but he was interested to see what Takano could do. Soon this theory would be confirmed, as without warning a stream of powerful lightning would be sent his way. Now this was interesting... The plus would let his guard down and purposely take the attack head on. The lightning would scream as it coated his armor, effectively nullifying it. Next would come a slight shock he felt from within the armor. The attack certainly worked, and he even felt the pain of it, if the man could continue to produce more of these attacks, things would start to get interesting. "Now, that was something else... You should try that again... Of course I can't take something like that lying down however..."

Revenant would raise his shotgun, now fully reloaded with shells, he could afford to fire yet another savage flurry of shots. That was exactly what he would do, as a series of loud bangs and flashes of light could be heard and seen from a great distance. The plus decided it would be fun to test this man, the soul reaper could prove a worthy adversary after all...

It seemed his attacks were growing more and more sloppy as the fight dragged on, Revenant would have to maintain control if he wanted to win. Sadly, control was not his strong suit. Most fights he partook in involved him going into a blind rage after all. This fight was different, up until his foe started to get the upper hand. Where the plus had once allowed his rage to subside, it would burn brightly yet again, the mysterious and violent red aura surrounding him. The soul reaper would get in close for his next attack, while simultaneously blocking one of the pluses own attacks. It was that move again, the one with his finger and the static. Revenant couldn't allow another one of those to connect... He would disappear from slight as he quickly stepped a full meter to the left narrowly dodging the attack. While Revenant was starting to get tired, a new passionate rage flowed through him, revivifying his lost stamina and intensifying his spiritual power.

With the attack dodged, and Takano open for another round of attacks, Revenant would hold his hand into the air. His Zampakuto would suddenly transform itself into a red energy and fly into it's master's hand, and then reforming into a blade. It would be quite the show, perhaps a good distraction even... The armored barbarian would then charge toward the Shinigami attempting to land two heavy handed slashes on him. "What's the matter, getting tired soul reaper?"

Revenant smirked as his blade founded it's place in his foe's skin. The rage that burned within him was slowly subsiding, but Takano remained nearly undamaged. This was troubling, but he had pierced most of the man's defenses, he just needed something to start dealing damage. What weapon to pick...? These thoughts flowed through his mind as a bolt of yellow lightning would successfully impact his armor. The energy would tear through him with relentless power, but the brute would still remain standing. The rage that was subsiding yet again, shot up giving him the endurance to stay in the fight. "I don't desire fighting you either... All that matters to me are the hollows. You are now hollow, but if you insist on stopping me I must persist."

Revenant would reach for his left side, grabbing an Uzi strapped to it, and pointing the weapon at the soul reaper. That look of hate was in his eyes again, he would stop at nothing to eliminate the hollows, this man... This man would move out of his way. Revenant decided to give him an ultimatum "Shinigami, you talk of me surrendering? Now I will offer you the chance to surrender." As he said this, the trigger of the weapon would be pulled and a massive swarm of spiritually enhanced bullets would fly to Takano's direction.

Things were not going well to say the least, as Revenant had fired off the last of the ammunition he was carrying and his armor was starting to fall apart. His opponent did look a bit tired, perhaps he still had a chance of victory. Either way, Revenant would have to see things through to the very end. That end was drawing near, first his swarm of bullets would be trivially blocked, then a huge counter attack would be sent his way. He had heard the longer one speaks the spell, the more powerful it becomes. This was perfect evidence as another massive beam of crimson power was fired towards him. The pressure of combat intensified even further as the attack impacted in a large explosion that tore multiple holes in Revenant's armor and left him heavily injured.

There was only one thing left to do, loose with honor. Revenant would grip his blade once more and begin rushing to Takano. Another series of vicious strikes would be sent in the man's direction, at this point the plus doubted many would land. One thing was certainly apparent, the armored berserker would need to grow stronger before fighting another Shinigami. The encounters he had been having as of late have proved more than a match for him. "If you will not yield, then you'd better hit me with the strongest weapon in your arsenal..."
