"They're like..." Vayle thought about it for a moment. "so Reishi's the power I can control - people do it in different ways - and spiritrons are what I'm actually made of in soul form. to put it all simple like." Vayle explained. "Though it's a silly sounding term, honestly." The woman shrugged as she put her hands behind her back. "It's basically densely packed stuff that can take on an interactable form, more or less. Sort of like how neutrons and electrons and the whole atom thing works." she'd note. As Estrella leaned back and asked, Vayle would shrug. "I think I've seen all of one in my life, and it was a kids film I got into by accident." she admitted. "I, uhm, only got missions that happen here every so often, and I kind of don't remember my human life. Like, at all. So, stuff like that, that doesn't exist in soul society, I don't know much of anything about. You're actually the first human I've ever had a real conversation with." Vayle sighed as the question came up, sipping the last of her black coffee. It was one of those things she didn't talk about much - mostly because it was a rabbit hole that lead to less than nothing, a question that existed to infuriate her with no resolution. "...I try to absorb as much as I can whenever I come here, though. Kind of my way to reclaim all that lost time, y'know?" [247 words] Lady Arcadia

While the information she received aboyt Spiritrons - and by god, both of them have to agree, they need to make up a better name for those things - was well and all, Estrella's question was an off-handed one just to keep the conversation going, but it turns out that Vayle's question was more interesting, and crazy, than she could have anticipated. The Shinigami attested that the only time she had ever seen a movie before was on a complete accident, it was a kids movie, and such a concept does not exist in Soul Society.
"What?" Estrella muttered, blinked a few times, and released a faint sigh. "Oh well, would you look at that? I couldn't have thought that there is a way to make me lose interest in visiting a place in a single sentence, and yet here we are. No movies, at all? No video games either, I presume... or any other sort of modern entertainment."
The Marquise turned her eyes to the ceiling. "If that's what the after-life is like, then you're making me want to develop immortality, and if all of media which deals with the concept of immortality can teach anything, it's that it never ends well for anyone involved. So..." The woman folded her arms. "...I don't know, anything else to talk about? You wanted to ask me something, right?"

Vayle chuckled. "Well, okay, going for immortality is also, I think, illegal." Vayle noted. "though... I'm not actually certain that's true if you did it with just tech. still, I think I'd actually have to... Well, tell someone else to do something about that. I've eaten enough bullets, thank you!" Vayle would add with a teasting grin. "Ya could probably invent them if you could figure out how to add manufacturing into the economy. the rukongai - the place where people who aren't Death gods live - is kind of in constant poverty unless you live in a noble house, but..."
Vayle shrugged. "I'd love to see someone figure out how to turn it all around. We do have the ability to make that sort of tech up there. people just haven't."
Vayle's hands clenched tightly to her coffee mug. "...It's an injustice, to be sure, but it's not one I'd know how to handle... definitely not with what few connections and such I have to work with."
Vayle took a deep breath and found herself lost in thought for a few seconds, before blinking. "...Right! Stuff I wanted to ask you! Uhm..."
Vayle scratched her head. "I know how you made your tech now, but I guess I gotta ask - have you sold any of this to anyone else? Or is this just your special, private stash?"
And then, after a few seconds, Vayle sighed, taking in a deep breath. "...And, would you be willing to show me a good movie?"

Vayle's first question was about whether or not she's actually sold her tech to anyone - a reasonable question, if anything. Vayle has, after all, expressed earlier that even though the Shinigami look down on most modern technology and believe it to be a hassle and an annoyance, her Rose pistols and Ghostbuster Suit were a legitimate threat to them. Which is why, if Vayle or any other Shinigami were to hear that thousands of humans were getting access to these weapons, that'd obviously be the cause of some great concern. It's only fair that Estrella gets to alleviate some of those concerns, then.
"Oh, don't worry, this is just private custom equipment, well, for now." Estrella replied. "You could say that right now, I'm going through a field testing phase to see whether my inventions are actually battlefield worthy. Then, after that's gonna be said and done... I'm probably gonna open shop, yeah. Make Nobel proud."
Vayle's second question was...
Oh.
She wanted Estrella to take her to show her a good movie. Huh. The comment from earlier must have stuck more than Estrella initially expected. The Marquise cringed, looking away to the side at the unexpected request. She's basically getting asked out to watch a movie together, huh...
"...sure... What movies to you like?- oh, well, I assume that's a pointless question for you. What movies would you hypothetically like?"

Vayle blinked a few times, thinking about that. "...I'd be careful with that one. Soul Society might not like the idea of humans getting too powerful. I can certainly think of quite a few people who'd be right opposed to seeing that firepower go into the hands of regular people..."
And then, the Death god threw her hands up with an expression of 'what can ya do?'. "Not that I'm saying I'm going to do anything about it. not exactly in my job description. The soul society has a helluva lot of worse people than me to send after someone, though. I'm one step above the rank and file death gods, but there's quite a few people that could squash me in seconds still around in the gotei. And there's also people that could squish those people just as easy."
Vayle took a sip of her coffee with a sigh. "...So I guess, either be careful about going public, or just make sure your weapons can keep up." She added with a wink, trying to ignore the fact she was implying sedition on her own part. Still, she reasoned, she was around to save humans. discouraging them wasn't part of her job description. She'd leave it to another death god to quash this one's dreams if they really wanted to.
"Personally, though? The whole reason I became a death god was when my village in the soul society got attacked by hollows - and remembering how powerless I was to save them. I wouldn't have minded a big gun back then."
As Estrella asked her what movies she liked, Vayle thought about it. "I think I'd be good with just about anything... maybe..." Vayle searched for the idea. "Like if there are horror stories that are movies, I tend to like those. I tend to read a lotta books like that."

Vayle seemed concerned that handing humanity such powerful weapons would earn her the ire of the higher ups of Soul Society, though she herself wasn't planning to do anything about that. Estrella merely grinned at the challenge. She's still got a whole life in front of her, and when she'd made weapons capable of taking magic ghost reapers down a notch by the time she reached 20, who knows how far she'll be able to reach by the time these threats actually bother to go after her? At least that's a tangible goal to reach, too. Have her weapons keep up with the Shinigami.
Vayle followed up her answer by stating that she didn't have a strong preference on a movie, but would possibly prefer a horror one, since that's where her interests lied.
"Horror, huh..." Estrella muttered under her breath and scratched her chin, thinking. "Not a huge fan of those types of movies, but hey, that's better than nothing. Why not head downtown to see what the movie theatres have in store and-"
The Marquise stood up, ready to depart, only for a realization to dawn onto her mind. "...I'm not going to drag you to a cinema when you're looking like this. You know..."
A thought hit Estrella's mind, and the woman swiftly pressed her holopad to check where her personal savings are at right now. "I've got fifteen million at hand in my credit card. Yeah, that should be enough to outfit your entire ghost dimension if I really wanted to." By no means was this even a fraction of Estrella's total net worth, either. Wealth from the business empire she had inherited from her parents and continued to maintain trickles into her personal bank account every month, faster than a normal person would even be able to spend.
"Alright, here's how it will go. This whole outing has been pretty nice so far, Vayle, and I suppose you beat me earlier, too, so I'll buy you some better clothes, which won't leave all the boys and girls on the way blushing and gushing~"

Vayle looked at Estrella's grin and smiled despite herself. She certainly had the moxie to try, but against the higher ups of soul society..."
The death god gave a quiet sigh. "...Just be careful, alright? There's a lot worse than death the seireitei can do to ya. The last major rule breaker's still doing a 20,000 year sentence or so." She notes. "I'll make sure I at least leave out what I can in my reports, but there's only so much I can do." Vayle will add with a smirk, before shrugging. "...Feels kinda useless to only be able to do this much at a hundred and fifty, but what can ya do, really?
Estrella noted her lack of interest in horror and vayle gave a shrug as she said she wasn't that into it. it kinda made sense that it'd be a niche among humans, even though...
Hold on, what was she saying? Better clothes?
Vayle blinked a few times. "With a career soldier?" Vayle asked with a chuckle. "Well, if you wanna fight that particular uphill battle, what can I do but graciously accept?" She asked with a smile. "...I'd really appreciate it, though, 'specially since I'm kinda... completely out of the loop on human style. Sort of used to just wearing the same uniform day to day." she'd add with a sigh. "I'm pretty lucky black is my color."

While Vayle attested that clothing a career soldier is a task easier said than done, and followed it up by stating that she could definitely use a change of style, especially since she is completely out of the loop of human fashion, Estrella reached into her purse and pulled out a pair of sunglasses. If this is what she's going to be doing tonight, then she has to look professional while doing it, obviously.
"You are challenging a woman with the power of infinite money, don't get it over your head," Estrella stated and stood up from her table. So, they're done over here, then? Time to head out, then... "And yeah, don't worry about it. It's nothing, and honestly, since I enjoy shopping anyway, both of us are gonna have something to take from today. If you're not worried with the reaction from your peers, though. After all, you'll be able to make all the Shinigami girls jealous once you come back..."
Estrella pressed on her chin, opening up a map of the town with her holo pad and considering her choices. This was no Madrid or Barcelona, they were a bit more limited in where they can start looking. "Black is your color, huh?... Hmmm... Maybe Hot Topic would be a good place to start, then..."
