"Maybe." Vayle wquld respond to the first statement. "But I don't think that's actually who you are. If you really were a relentless killer, you'd have got me the moment i exhausted my reishi and I wouldn't have had the gas in the tank to stop ya." Vayle responded. "It would've been easy for ya."
Vayle frowned at Tsuyoshi's second comment. "That's a big part of what makes you interesting, to me." Vayle would say. "You have a lot of potential, a reasonably good heart, and you kept me alive, back there. Despite that, I have two kills written on your record, and you were imprisoned for a long time instead of going out and putting those talents to good use. That's a pretty clear problem with how we've handled things."
She took a deep breath. "I gained twentieth seat in the seventh division by ousting another man from soul society. He, despite having the duties and time to understand what being a Death God was, was distributing lethal drugs to those in the Rukongai for a price. That was when I started thinking about this sort of thing. If people can't trust the gods of death to be fair and just in their rulings... who can they trust?"
As Jidai furrowed his brow, Vayle thought about his statement. "If the hollow wasn't there... I would've just ran and let other people deal with that trace of energy, probably." Vayle admitted. "I broke the rule to serve the people I protected. That would be those humans we just saved the lives of. I'm continuing to break that rule, because fighting alongside you forced me to look at who you actually were, not just what was on paper, and... you surprised me. Besides, like I said, I gave my word, and if I want a shinigamis word to mean anything, I do need to uphold it - even moreso than any law."
Vayle smiled. "I might be willing to bend farther than the average shinigami, but that doesn't mean I lack suspicion of any kind. I didn't have any real logical reason to trust you... until I was forced to trust you. Even so, now we're talking, and I like who I'm talking to. I'm happy things worked out in a way that let me get to know ya."

Tsuyoshi smiled widlely as Vayle spoke, and Jidai mentally slapped his own face because of it, thinking that his master was just smiling because of the fact there was a girl in front of him. But actually aslso because Vayle kind of implied he would like humans, and there was kind of a whine at Tsuyoshi since technically he did save them. Did he care, or did he just want to impress the girl? But that thought was quickly squished, to Jidai's luck, as Tsuyoshi opened his mouth. ''You're lucky I like killing hollows more than killing people.'' He answered. ''And with an actual shinigami nearby it would be stupid to go and kill those humans.'' The smile on his face turner to a grin then as he looked at Vayle. ''But since, as you say, you're bound to your word, I could potentially just go back and kill the people anyway.'' Jidai was almost extatic at this point and fully ready for the rogue to turn around, but he just didn't do that. ''Shame you called the higher ups on that location. They have no such word against trapping me again.'' ''In other news!'' Tsuyoshi changed the subject, looking before him for a moment. ''This Italian place, how long?'' Vayle Cameo

Vayle kept a consistent grin as Tsuyoshi continued in, pleased that he was at least the conversational type. Even if conversations tended to be a little... unpleasant. Despite that, her expression didn't change, as he continued, outlining what Tsuyoshi could do, what she'd bound herself to, what Tsuyoshi was really concerned about. She gave a confident smile, not missing a beat as Tsuyoshi changed the subject. "Oh, only about 5 more minutes, but we need to make a quick stop..." Vayle would add, jumping down as she found a secluded area. "I'm so glad these finally got into general distribution..." Vayle added, as she blew very hard on what seemed like a black bag. With a sudden 'pop', a new version of 'Vayle cameo' popped up, complete with... A school uniform? "the shit! I ordered a cool biker outfit on these, not like... the skirt, and the... Ugh." Vayle added, before throwing another black bag to Tsuyoshi. "Here ya go. It'll look like whoever activates 'em, so there's no need to worry about nothin' weird." Vayle added, slightly shivering as she thought about such heinous things leaving her lips. A doppelganger of herself talking like that in public... Good way to get fired, she was pretty sure. Vayle moved to get into the gigai, and as she did so, as casually as talking about the weather, she added a simple question: "So? Is that something you like? Killing people?" Vayle would ask. "Have you actually done it, before now?" And with that, Vayle slipped into the gigai, getting up complete with japanese school uniform. "Looks a little weird on me, but it's not like we're going anywhere high-class. It's just good linguini." Vayle would add, looking over to Tsuyoshi eagerly as he inflated his gigai. Seeing this dude in school clothes, even if they weren't nearly as revealing on men, would be... quite an upstanding and posh look compared to his standard. [322 words] Tsuyoshi Hidou

''Quick stop?'' Tsuyoshi responded as she lead him to an area not quickly visited by anyone else. ''Are you sure about the word you gave me?'' He joked. ''Assmunch!'' Jidai rang out as the sword and the rogue both watchedVayle take out a black bag or some sort. ''Her word doesn't mean shit! She's a shinigami just like the people after you! This secluded area? She. Is. Going. To. Kill. You.''Tsuyoshi briefly looked at his sword before looking over to Vayle when she started whining, it seemed. But about the thing in front of her, not Tsuyoshi. It looked just like her, the black bag when she inflated it, and had a lot less to imagine about if you were so inclined. Tsuyoshi then slapped the sword at his thigh a bit as if to chastise him, and smiled when he was handed one of those bags. Did she want him to look like her? Though she instantly explained it to him, it would be awesome if she did since he could just commit crimes and blame it on her. ''Sadly, I have.'' He answered Vayle as she watched him inflate his gigai, causing him to grow more and more entertained not only because there was finally someone to talk to, but also because it would be a moment without his sword who could be quite tiring. When he was in his gigai, straightenning out his ''school clothes don't look too great on me'' look, he turned to Vayle with a smile. ''I'll tell you more over a that lignuini you've been hyping up.'' Vayle Cameo

"Listen, my word is really safe to trust... I'd even give my word on it!" Vayle quipped back with a grin. The shinigami rolled a couple tired shoulders, trying to ignore the strain in them. "...S'funny, I always feel like I should have more muscle in these arms than I do... but the specs are perfect for me. Maybe I was a really fit human back when I existed in the living world..." Vayle will shrug. "'Could also just be bein' human feels weak. who knows? It gets me linguine and that's what's important." As Tsuyoshi got his own gigai ready, Vayle sighed. "...That's a relief. Not... not that you killed 'em. Just the fact you're still capable of addin' "sadly" to that sentence." Vayle added with a slightly more serious look... And then chuckled as she tugged at the ribbon near the front of her uniform, looking over at Tsuyoshi and his new, grey ensemble with school jacket and slacks, exposing his form to the world.. "Oh my god! You look almost like an upstanding citizen in those clothes!" She teased, as she headed down the street. "Anyways, hurry up, slowpoke. It's just on this corner here!" Vayle would add with a grin back, looking towards the pasta place. This definitely wasn't how she expected this little jaunt to turn out... but no story that ends in pasta could really be all that bad. [235 words] Tsuyoshi Hidou

He cracked his knuckles in his new getup, and realized that when Vayle was talking about her muscles, he didn't feel much different in terms of size. ''Don't seem to have that problem. Maybe I'm just a buff dude all around.'' Though he did have to admit to himself that his movements were more sluggish in his new form. Tsuyoshi looked over at Vayle playing with her uniform and then looking up at the self proclaimed bad man. She broke out an 'oh my god' and a jab at how he looked something like a normal person, which kind of disgusted the rogue since he didn't like normal, or upstanding. But she quickly added that the place they had been going for was just around the corner and he was somehow being slow. And while he knew it was a joke, it still annoyed him somehow. Almost like he had something to prove. ''You're lucky there's food waiting for me.'' He said as he began to follow Vayle. ''I hate this feeling.'' He added, referring to the gigai he was wearing. ''Feels so.. naked. Confined. Weak. Like you said. But without the food, I can go without food, actually.'' If Jidai had been able to hear him there would have been a slight problem with the way he was acting, he figured. But the sword didn't understand that sometimes people needed contact. Vayle Cameo

"Well, if there's one thing I always am, it's damn lucky~" Vayle chirped back, starting to enjoy herself. "I know what'cha mean, don't get me wrong, but it's only for a little while. If humans can even manage to exist this way all the time, a Death god - rogue or not - should definitely be able to endure it for just a short time, right?" She'd ask. The younger shinigami shook her head at the statement. "...Well, I'll admit it's also a bit of a curious feeling, for me. I don't remember anything before my adulthood in rukongai, and by then I had plenty of reishi in me already. So I guess, with something like this, I get to find out how I must have been as a human... before my death, and before a shinigami applied Konso to me." Vayle would add. "Can't help but be curious about things you can't remember 'bout yourself, ya know?" Vayle blurted this all out without thinking, and, realizing just how much she'd said, Scratched at the back of her neck with a nervous grin, her hair flipped away from her face just long enough for the numerous scars across her neck to be visible. "...Sorry. That was oversharing, a little." She admitted, before opening the door to the restaurant. "...Let's get seated." [218 words] Tsuyoshi Hidou

''I'll survive.'' Tsuyoshi said, though he couldn't help looking over his shoulder since he was now vulnerable, and what if she had called shinigami to come take him in? He smiled at Vayle at that point, and admitted to himself that maybe Jidai had found a way into his head. ''In the name of food.'' He tried joking as he turned to Vayle fully. Tsuyoshi smirked at her statement, and how she thought to overshare. ''Suppose it only makes things fair if I overshare too?'' He offered, taking the closest table with two seats opposite each other, holding out the chair for Vayle before sitting down himself. ''I'm jealous of you.'' He suddenly said as he sat down. ''Not remembering. Its a curse, memories. Sure, there are people you want to remember, but the bad things stick with you. You relive them over and over, and it doesn't make things easier. I just want to forget my past, even if it means I forget the good things, too.'' He cleared his throat finally and smiled, though he was sure Vayle knew by now that a smile from him meant either nothing or a thirst for blood. ''Living in the now seems like a good solution, don't you think?'' Vayle Cameo

Vayle gave a small smile at the joke. "in tha name of food!" She repeated with fervor... before half-collapsing, leaning against the door laughing. "Ahehehehe... ahah... I wonder if other death gods are this goofy after a battle?" She added wistfully.
As Vayle listened to Tsuyoshi, she was not entirely sure how to take it. As they sat down, she inspected the plastic menu with care, thinking before she really could come back to it. "...I wonder about that." Vayle added, a hand coming back to the scars on her neck. "...Sometimes, I..."
Vayle took a deep breath, realizing she was about to admit something. "Sometimes, when I'm doing things, strange actions creep in. I'll start crying, and have no idea why. I'll feel overcome with fear, and not understand where it comes from. Other times, I'll feel oddly nostalgic, or treat something I'm doing for the first time like... I'm an old hand, or something. dodge in a way I used to dodge, or at least something that feels familiar enough to be like that." Vayle would add. "It kind of scares me... If I can't remember it, you'd think it'd give me a clean slate, but I think... my body remembers it, even if my mind doesn't, and it's like... being bound by invisible chains. I get the emotions, sometimes, but never with the actual knowledge of why I feel the way I do... I'm never sure when a moment might hit me, or why, or if it might turn a routine moment into a traumatizing one. It's an enemy I can't confront, run away from, or hide from... buuut, I think you're also probably right." Vayle would respond.
"I suppose it's no point worrying about things I can't remember when I have so many new memories to make, after all. Like how good this Fettucini's going to be!"
Vayle gave a happy grin as the waiter came around, and ordered her pasta. "Like, I know I recommended the linguine, But I realized I've never had the Fettucini here before, y'know?"

''Odd.'' He replied. ''You're odd.'' When she mentioned the bit about suddenly crying it weirded him out, but when she mentioned that sometimes battle movements came natural to her there was that feeling of jealousy again. But when she added onto it by saying she didn't know when to expect reliving a trauma that feeling of jealousy vanished as snow before the sun. Then she moved on from it, told Tsuyoshi that she thought he was right and ordered her food shortly after. Fettucini. And when Tsuyoshi ordered his Linguine, he couldn't help but think that if she lied about something like food she could just as well have lied about keeping her word, and just getting him into a gigai would make it easier for the shiningami to take him in. There was another look over his shoulder as he half expected right then to have someone barge in and arrest him or something. But at the same time he didn't want to assume that someone could do something like this, not again anyway. ''As long as you're paying for it I don't see why you need to justify it.'' He said stoically as he spent more time watching the window and everything beyond it than actually looking at Vayle. Vayle Cameo
