"That makes sense, given the division you were in." Vayle added, looking towards the hollow. The severed arm was already regenerating, and in it's place were a pair of arms growing out of the same spot. Vayle thought it would be weakened by the regeneration, but it seemed to actually have more spiritual pressure than before. "tch... I'm not asking you to do magic, but given our buddy over there's doing all the cheating he wants, mind cutting me slack for a moment?" Vayle would ask, before holding up her miniature reactor. "If it can regenerate like this, and get stronger like this, we can't give it any more opportunities to get stronger. we'd just be digging our own graves." Vayle looked at the rogue with a stern expression. "I'm going to hit it with something heavy. It's not going to take it out, almost certainly... but it can give you an opening for the mask." Vayle looked to Mahoutsukai. "Don't think I can do it well, but... let's go for it." The girl said, before raising her reactor to the hollow charging from the side of the street. "Imperfect magicannon! Final spark!" A rainbow beam of destructive energy roared from the miniature furnace, surrounded by strips of ethereal runic cloth. The strike struck the hollow in the middle of it's battle cry, driving it back and knocking out it's legs. And with that, Vayle's legs turned to jelly and gave out. It was all up to Tsuyoshi now, one way or the other. "...Think you can do it?" She asked with a teasing smile. [264 words] Tsuyoshi Hidou

Watching as Vayle seemingly lost use of her legs after that magic move, Tsuyoshi almost broke down in laughter while his sword remained as bent on killing as always, almost yanking him away from Vayle and closer to the hollow who, as said by the girl with the magic, was open enough now to have its mask destroyed. ‘'Magic is good, they said.’' Tsuyoshi said, almost doubling over in joy. ‘'Magic hurts people, they said. And they were rright.’' ’'Just not the right people.’' Jidai added hastily. ’'Can we go kill this thing now if you’re not gonna kill the girl? I want to have killed at least one thing today.’' He almost begged, physically trying to yank Tsuyoshi away from the girl with the legs of jelly now. And while the rogue was still laughing, or even because he was, he found himself sliding closer and closer to the hollow. He did enjoy fighting, but his sword was the one that actually sought out the danger. ‘'Okay okay.’' Tsuyoshi wiped at his eyes as he took a firm grip of his sword again, hearing the howls of the hollow get more and more intense. ‘'I’m not built to think!’' He yelled back finally, and he felt the shock of Jidai then. ’'Then stop doing it!’' Choosing to ignore that, he reeled back as he came closer to the grounded hollow, who was already trying to swipe at him. But, with the added movement of his sword he found himself out of harms way with ease, opening the hollow up for slashes at his arms yet again. And while it stopped a few strikes of the sword, the act of guarding his hands had gone through in spite of guarding the mask it had. Tsuyoshi smiled as his sword yanked him closer to the mask, urging him to strike. And so he did before the hands of the hollow could respond. A nice, vertical slice was made through the mask of the hollow and, while screaming, it slowly vanished. He turned and looked at Vayle. ‘'Say no to magic, right?’' ’'Done celebrating?’' Jidai asked. ’'We can kill her now.’' Vayle Cameo

Vayle sighed, letting herself fall over as Tsuyoshi got closer, letting her zanpakuto de-materialize. "Well, that was... certainly something." Vayle would add, before checking her phone. and we still have a little more than an hour for you to get outta here, mister rogue, so we can relax about that whole 'being found out' thing." Vayle added. "...Nice job." She added, hoping to ignore the 'magic' stuff. part of her really, really wanted to know what this rogue shinigami's problem was with magic, but it didn't seem like a good time to broach the subject.
And with that, vayle brought up a hand to her phone, checking the time.
"They'll be looking for me here... but i can say I followed some low-class tagalong holloy to another city, and we're both fast enough in shinigami form... what say I buy you dinner? I literally owe ya my life at the moment. s'the least I could do, ya know?" Vayle asked.
Of course, part of it was just a desire to know more about this strange shinigami. He didn't seem right in the head, but he'd helped her, so that had to count for something, right?
"Vayle, this is dangerous... He's probably one of those 11th division nuts who go off the deep end at the chance of fighting something."
Vayle ignored Mahoutsukai's warning, though she knew her soul weapon was probably right. Still... she wanted to give this guy a chance. it was up to him if he took it or not.

’'Ugh, food.’' Jidai rang out. ’'I hate that you need the stuff.. Time spent eating is time wasted. Can’t you like, eat the hollows you kill? Or even the shinigami?’' ‘'That’d be cannibalism.’' Tsuyoshi repliad, looking at his sword briefly before turning back to Vayle with a smile, taking in what exactly she offered. ’'It’s likely a way to get to pick at your brain or something. I wouldn’t let her.’' The sword offered up his thoughts, but Tsuyoshi ignored them for a chance to pick at the brain of Vayle. He moved closer to her and reached down, extending his hand to maybe help her get up. ‘'I’ll not say no to that offer. I’m a bit peckish.’' He said as he now looked back. And, as he did so his sword trembled a bit as it remembered the blood of the hollow seeping through its ridges. ‘'Besides, with what you’re doing I also kind of owe you my life.’' ’'Dude what the hell? No you don’t!’' ‘'Or at least my free one.’' ’'Oh no, don’t do that shit! Just.. Strike her down right now and be done with it.’' Jidai was sounding quite angry for a sword, and was actually shaking in anger, though only Tsuyoshi could perceive it. ‘'My sword likes you.’' He said with a smile. ’'The hell I do!’' Vayle Cameo

Vayle took the hand gladly, doing her best to avoid thinking about the cannibalism line. " Let me blast his stupid sword. Show 'em who's boss. He thinks he can--" Vayle looked back to her blade, shaking in it's own sheath. "calm down a bit." And with that, look up to Tsuyoshi with a bright grin. He was rough, menacing, and seemed like he had a sword with a few screws loose, but... despite that, she could tell there was something other than darkness whirling around inside him. Something she could maybe reach... She might not have the power to bring him back to legal shinigami practice, but she could at least... be a friend? Well, it was still way too early to tell for sure. "Well then, let's stop owing each other on an empty stomach, huh? I could really use some pasta, after all that." Vayle will add. "there's an italian restaurant in a town near here I go to I don't tell anyone about. let's go!" And with that, though at a more relaxed pace, Vayle would give him a grin and start moving through the air, checking if she still did indeed have those spar inflatable gigai. She was in luck, thankfully. [207 words] Tsuyoshi Hidou

''Calm down?'' Tsuyoshi confusedly repeated as Vayle spoke, but then he realized she'd been talking to her sword and not him. ''So I'm not the only lunatic here.'' He laughed, putting a hand over his sword and feeling it grumble at his words, almost as if it was complaining. ''Zanpakuto can be a handful, right?'' The rogue added with a smile, though by this point he wasn't sure if he meant any of his expressions or not. ''First of all. You are the only lunatic here.'' Jidai said. ''Secondly, we're not a handful. Well, I'm not, maybe that whiny broom thing of hers is.'' It continued despite seeing and knowing how Tsuyoshi felt about the constant backtalk of his sword. ''Thirdly..'' There was a pause and Tsuyoshi knew exactly what was coming. Looking at Vayle, he began smiling. ''-just kill her.'' He said, no context, stealing the thing his sword was about to say. ''-just kill h- right. You know. So why don't you do it when she's clearly trying to catch you off guard?''Before Vayle quickly moved from him, giving him no real chance to add anything to his last statement, he quickly followed and felt it easier to keep up with her than before. ''So, full disclosure.'' He began as they both moved. ''My sword is convinced you're trying to hurt me or something, and is constantly saying I should kill you.'' Tsuyoshi said with a wide smile. ''Should I?'' Vayle Cameo

Vayle would give a soft smile as Tsuyoshi asked about her zanpakuto. So, she was right in her earlier theory, and he wasn't just a crazy guy. Point for them having a shot at talking like ordinary people, kind of. "Yeah. Mahoutsukai's a pretty vocal one, all things considered. At least compared to most other people's swords. " Well maybe it's because other people's swords aren't remotely as cool or deep as me~" Mahoutsukai responded with a proud tone. Vayle smiled down at her sword. Well, she certainly couldn't deny that one, could she? She certainly couldn't imagine having a different zanpakuto. Vayle grinned, as a funny feeling swept through her. "I don't think ya should, but I ain't a prophet." Vayle would respond. "You joined to fight, so maybe that's where your sword's coming from, but hurtin' you's the last thing on my mind. Like I said, I joined the thirteen court guard squads to save people. Keep them alive." Vayle shrugged. "I don't see how hurting or killing you would fall into that. It's definitely what the law says I should do, but... the law's are meant to help people. Pursuing this little bit of justice probably won't help anyone. So I don't wanna." Vayle would add. "besides, I gave you my word I would ya hide from the brass in exchange for your help, and my division's built on the concept of courage and honor. I'm not one to break my vows so easily." ''I know of people they hurt.'' Tsuyoshi said in response. His sword then almost instantly reacting to it, mentally prodding the rogue in the side. ''Don't.. tell her that.''But he ignored it, at this point just feeling like he needed someone to share anything to, the things he couldn't do with his sword. And it felt that, but was also indifferent to those feelings as the only real emotion it could feel was anger and the urge to kill. It wasn't like a regular person he could share other things with, and the first time he tried ended in disaster. ''Your problems are yours alone. Think she wants to hear them?'' Jidai asked. ''Guess again. She's just another Shinigami waiting for your trust so she can take it and crush you. She's no different from the others. You know, the ones who hurt you.''[/i] Tsuyoshi sighed as they continued moving. ''Laws are also meant to be broken, aren't they? That they're there doesn't mean they're good for you. Some laws, if not most, just serve to imprison those with something to say.'' He paused for a moment and swallowed hard, digging up things with almost everything he was saying right now he had been burying deep down these past few.. how long had it been? Years? ''I'm telling you, just kill her.''Vayle Cameo

Vayle listened to Tsuyoshi with a look of sympathy cast her way, eyes widening as she started to piece bits of his past together. She had some guesses as to how Tsuyoshi had ended up the way he had, but she couldn't exactly figure out it's full scope. Still, 11th division was... lawless, for lack of a better word. a lot of the darkness of the shinigami world hid in there. She could make a couple theories about Tsuyoshi's record, but she could only really find the truth if she looked into his file in more detail. Something she'd try once she got back to soul society. Vayle would sigh, hearing that. "...Sometimes." she agreed. "The law is misunderstood by quite a few of the people who make them. They do not exist to be served by the people, but to serve the people. Many of their enforcers are, likewise, blind. They follow the law, not as a means to an end, but as an end to itself. as a result, the law that was meant to create harmony and peace is often corrupted to serve selfish interests, if they serve any purpose at all." Vayle states. "That is why I chose to break this law, in this case - and as a result, we saved a lot of human lives, put an end to a monster, and allowed it's soul to be purified and find peace of it's own, in another life." Vayle's voice took on a deeper tone as a serious, contemplative expression was worn on her face. "...So I don't feel a single regret about breaking the law this time. After all, I got to meet someone... interesting." She'll add with a grin. [283 words] Tsuyoshi Hidou

''You could have not broken it and still saved a lot of people.'' Tsuyoshi replied with a grin, indicating that he would inevitably end up killing a lot of people or that he would have killed the hollow either way. ''And you didn't meet someone interesting.'' He added when she mentioned that because of breaking the law she met him. Though her words were spoken with some hesitance. ''I'm just another one of those Shinigami spit out by your precious society.'' ''Okay, while I'm not going to argue anything of what you just said- you're not special, just one of many, and don't really matter in the grand scheme of things..'' Jidai said mentally, pretty much insulting the man who wielded him. ''I kind of need to remind you that being out here with someone who misread you and broke a stupid rule beats being in a jail again.'' It almost sounded like a compliment, but it was nothing but selfish. ''But, if the hollow wasn't there,'' He asked Vayle with his brows furrowed. ''would you still have broken that rule?'' There was a smug look on his face then as if he was awaiting a certain kind of answer, confirming his suspicions about her. ''Was I a calculated risk? Did you break the rule just because you needed help?'' Vayle Cameo
