Takano has a vested interest in Hollows and Hollowfication, mainly how it can be utilized for medicinal purposes. Other than that, he simply wishes to help people when he can. After a year or so of observing Hollows attacking humans, he has developed his healing Kido as best as he can so he can save them from the wounds inflicted.
QUIRKS:
Takano can be best described as quietly cheerful. He usually has a slight grin, and enjoys poking fun at people when he sees an opening. As said before, he has a great deal of interest in Hollows, and unlike many other Shinigami he has no zealous desire to purify them all. Sometimes he even tries communication, though it has ended in a few nasty scars. Takano also has great connection to his Zanpakuto, Chiyu. Often he can be seen walking around whispering to it as if speaking to a normal person, a habit which sometimes makes his undercover work difficult. Finally, Takano has a smoking habit, something which he developed after his first mission.
BONDS:
Takano doesn’t have a great deal of friends, mainly keeping to himself to remain focused on the mission. The only thing he seems to have any major connection to is Chiyu.
BACKSTORY:
Takano was born in the Seireitei to a minor Noble family who served the Kuchiki clan as personal physicians. As such, Takano learned about Haido and various other healing/barrier Kido as he grew up. Unexpectedly to his family, Takano made the sudden decision to enroll in the Shin’o Academy. This would enrage both of his parents, who had expected him to remain with the family and serve the Kuchiki Clan, something which Takano cared very little about. As Takano went through the academy he slowly gained an interest in Hollows, as well as Hollowfication. He couldn’t quite explain why, it just dawned on him throughout his studies. Eventually Takano would graduate with top marks in both Kido and Hoho, deciding to enter into 12th Division upon graduation. He would be assigned to a Living World Research unit, which was being deployed to study Hollow attacks, Hollow physiology, and to protect High Spec Humans under threat.
CALL TO ACTION:
Takano’s call to action was his strange fascination with Hollows and desire to help others, not just the Kuchiki Clan.
