THE SHADOW COLLECTIVE
Current Leader: Naveia Aymond
Description of Government: The Shadow Collective is organized into various cells of criminals, all led by Lieutenants who are assigned by Naveia Aymond. Each Cell has its own purpose, all Illegal in both the Living World and Soul Society. The Lieutenant of each cell dictates the organization and punishments for their underlings.
Location: Based in the Living world
Society: The Shadow Collective is based around loyalty and honor. If someone betrays a cell, they are hunted down and killed, typically in a horrific fashion. Aside from this, the separate Cells each have their own cultures which is usually influenced by the Lieutenant’s race. Given that Lieutenants can be of any race or background, this results in a great deal of variance amongst The Shadow Collective, even infighting at some points.
History: After the fall of Jin Kariya and his syndicate of Bounts, the remaining undiscovered Bounts went into hiding out of fear of Soul Societies wrath. It would not be until well after The Second Quincy War that they would resurface. Naveia Aymond, a female Bount who had managed to accumulate a massive wealth, along with a large Crime Syndicate, would begin the arduous task of finding these lost Bounts and recruiting them. However, unlike Jin, Naveia never believed in taking revenge on Soul Society, simply wishing to create a new Bount Empire within the living world. The Shadow Collective serves as a blackmarket for Soul Society technology, and deals in both the Living World and Soul Society. The Xtractors tend to be the only faction taking any major actions against The Shadow Collective, though Soul Society has taken notice and attempts to combat them whenever possible.

Those who show a great aptitude for fighting or criminal dealings can typically expect a passing message from the Shadow Collective, which offers a special “Test” Job. If the person completes the mission, they are welcomed into The Shadow Collective. If the job is ignored, they are left alone. These jobs are usually quite dangerous and morally difficult in an attempt to recruit the most Ruthless of criminals.
