SCHATTENREICH
Current Leader: Baldulf Kabel
Description of Government: The Schattenreich is very similar to the Wandenreich in terms of structure and management. The only difference is the Letter designation for the Sternritter, which is no longer in place. The Schattenreich is split into three main forces:
The Sternritter: Much the the Wandenreich, the Sternritter serves as a main commanding force of the Schattenreich and contains the most Elite of the Schattenreich.
The Jagdarmee: Dedicated to the recruitment of new Quincies and other people of interest.
The Soldat: The main military body of the Schattenreich, which not only comprises the main infantry of the Schattenreich, but the majority of all other occupations (Scientists, Engineers, etc.).
Location: Unknown, Operates in all realms.
Society: The Schattenreich is extremely well organized and disciplined. They follow several military doctrines instituted by Herr Kommandant Baldulf Kabel after the death of Emperor Yhwach. These Doctrines ensure that the Schattenreich remains the major military power it was before, whilst also ensuring they remain hidden until they regain enough power to once more strike out at Soul Society.
History: After the second Quincy war and following Emperor Yhwach’s death, The Wandenreich remnants were forced into hiding. The chain of command would cause the role of leadership to fall on the shoulders of one Baldulf Kabel, The supreme commander of the Soldats. Realizing how weakened the Wandenreich was without Yhwach and the death of almost all Sternritter, Kabel deemed it necessary for the Wandenreich to go into hiding and recuperate until the time came for proper retaliation. As such, he renamed the Wandenreich into the Schattenreich or “The Shadow Empire”. Currently the Schattenreich has agents within almost every major faction and attempts to influence each to their own goals.

RECRUITMENT
Recruits are found by the Jagdermee, which hunts, captures, and re-educates newly made quincies. They do not take no for an answer, and often use torture to force members to join. The Jagdermee also has the power to recruit non-quincies into the Schattenreich, but doing so is quite rare.
TRAINING
Inductees into the Schattenreich are forced to go through several months of intense training. This training is used to not only train quincies on how to properly fight, but also brainwash them into fanatical loyalists. If the Quincy is shown to be extremely powerful or intelligent, they may be recruited into the Sternritter upon completing their training. Otherwise they are assigned an occupation within the Soldat.
