Despite being an amnesiac, Vayle grew up poor in rukongai and learned to appreciate the family that cared for her and worked with her and the difficulties they had. Most notably, she learned both of their reliance on shinigami aid and it’s scarcity. As someone naturally determined to help others, and given apt reason to believe that she can help people herself, she is very motivated to learn as much as she can as a shinigami in order to keep her people safe.
She is also, however, somewhat capricious as of now, and generally tries to make sure enemies pay for their crimes in full, easily angered at the sight of innocent people being hurt beyond reason.
She would also like to learn more about herself, as someone with no memory, and hopes to find out more about who she used to be and where both her aptitude as a shinigami and the strange chills she sends down people’s spines on occasion come from. She hopes meeting the spirit of her blade will help her with that.
QUIRKS:
Happens to be a bit of a brutish type, using blunt force as her response to a lot of problems. snappy trickster when pushed though, and loves pulling pranks on and deceiving people. Very sassy, and doesn't miss a beat when it comes to mocking others for their shortcomings. despite this, she's often no better and is known for making some stupid and impulsive decisions in the heat of the moment. can't stand tension. finds moms to be scary people.

Her adoptive family in the rukon, including her brother Honjo, her sister Lucia, and her parents, Margaret and William.
The shinigami that inspired her to start training, an older man that goes by the name of Shale Evans.
BACKSTORY:
Saiko Kiga is an unknown, a paradox. How they got to where they got to has always been a mystery, but it is known that this hollow achieved the ranks of vasto lorde in an unusually short time and quickly gained followers with her charisma and power. Believing herself to be one of the fundamental forces of the world, an icon of progress and strength, she led an assault on the human world in an attempt to force power on the world as a whole, and create A base within the human realm impregnable to any shinigami attack, but was stopped by-
Vayle Cameo was a poor member of the Rukongai initially. Having appeared there after some form of Konso, she quickly found herself lacking all but her name in terms of memory, a problem common to some rukongai arrivals. After settling into the new place, she spent a fair amount of time in district 52, and for a time she enjoyed a simple life, there. Still, things were definitely… odd, about her. She seemed unusually capable and skilled despite her lack of memory at many things, got oddly philosophical if talked to at the right moment, and for some reason, some souls, sometimes even her own adopted family, would be struck by a sudden fear of her during ordinary moments that did not take long to pass, but was severe enough to leave effects for up to days afterwards.
This changed after another routine hollow attack. Vayle ran in to protect an innocent civilian, showing reasonable hand-to-hand skills, before saving a shinigami. As a result, however, she collapsed - not due to the action itself, but because the shinigami’s proximity forced her to feel his energy directly.
Cursing the powerlessness she felt that day, when she was asked to give a try at attending the academy a few days later, she felt no reason not to go through with the idea. After all, it was an interesting challenge, it would give her access to information that could let her track down her past, and she’d never, with some luck, have to feel like she had no control of a situation ever again...
CALL TO ACTION:
Graduation of the shinigami academy, and a basic understanding of the four Shinigami arts - hoho, Hakuda, zanjutsu, and Kido (though specializing in Hoho and Kido).
