Vayle was smart, sure she wanted to save the woman, but not because it was her "duty". It was well known that Arcadia was killing, torturing, and generally harming the true innocent of this world. There was obviously a personal bias at play, one that mattered little. Vayle would attempt to call him a hypocrite, but that wasn't entirely true. "I mindlessly killed hollows, and I paid the price for it. I have already been punished, and absolved of those crimes. You have no moral high ground over me. Estrella has committed atrocious crimes, and commits more every moment she wakes."Tenchi would feel the surge in the woman's power, he would begin to call upon his own strength as a counter. What he never expected was for Vayle to lunge at him, but it was no matter. Shouting down to her in response the hellwalker would shout, "She is no longer human! And I wasn't asking for your permission!" The raining lava would begin to surround him like a whirlpool. The plus would counter the attack by attempting to crash straight into Vayle. After that a massive flaming and arcane explosion would occur. The armored man would come out swinging with his flaming axe, attempting to land a few other strikes against Vayle. Despite the fight going on as long as it had, Tenchi had never felt rage once. That may have been a problem considering his strength was drawn out by emotion. Vayle Cameo BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Vayle grunted as the lava swirled around Tenchi and the two clashed, the strike leaving her only a little dazed as she disappeared in a flash of movement at the last second, the woman disappearing just as the explosion was about to reach her, and reappearing behind her opponent. "...Is that all you got?" Vayle would shoot back with a deadly glare. "I'm sick of you repeating the same rhetoric. I don't know where you got your knowledge about how shinigami do things..." The death god leaned back, letting the second strike fly past her. With a quick backflip, she regained her distance. Tenchi'd shown her everything he had. "But let me tell you two useful pieces of information." The shinigami's reactor charged as she dived forward, creating a small sonic boom with the motion. "First: I am going to save Estrella without a shadow of a doubt. I can't hold things she did brainwashed against her, and neither can the Soul Society. We're the reason she was involved in the first place. The blame falls squarely on Eleanor herself, and then on us." Vayle would say, before vanishing with an audible 'boom'. "Second." the woman would add, only appearing visible for heartbeats of a second, as she grinned at Revenant. Noticeably, she'd went from sitting on her broom to standing on it, the high-powered speed zanpakuto and the death god working together as the grinning shinigami used it like a surfboard. "I've never needed your permission to kick your ass." The woman jumped at that moment, leaping from her broom with her reactor pointed straight down at Revenant: "Star Sign: Dragon Meteor!" A house-width pillar of green and blue energy would pierce the sky and split the earth as Vayle fired the shot straight down, before landing on her broom again with a graceful flip and speeding away. The same rhetoric? No, not by a long shot. If Tenchi were to follow the same code he once did, he wouldn't have even bothered with Estrella in the first place. He wanted to save her too, but the idea of being able to undo brainwashing was quite impractical to him. Tenchi would listen to Vayle's first claim with a scoff, she was far to unrealistic. The second claim would make him chuckle a bit. "I never said anything about that now. If you think I'm out of tricks, then you're a fool."An orb of flaming energy would swirl around the plus, managing to protect him for the majority of the incoming attack. The pillar would impact the orb causing both to be destroyed in the fallout, Tenchi stood there looking slightly worse for ware, but far from done. He would grin beneath his mask, as another flaming torrent would surround his body. Stretching out one of his arms, he would declare "Hellcraft: Fire bolt"Several flaming bolts of reishi would shoot from his hand, all leaping at Vayle. He doubted that these simple attacks would deter her very much, but they would allow him to recharge for what was about to come. If he wanted to defeat Vayle, he would need a decisive blow. Vayle jumped forward fearlessly, the air pushing back her hair as she Dashed forwards at supersonic speeds. The fire bolts came one after the other, and Vayle dodged the first one with a graceful spin to the side, before pulling her broom up to dodge the second and getting caught in a cloud of smoke as the third one shot straight past her as she disappeared in a burst of shunpo. She was working perfectly in sync with Mahoutsukai right now, and the grin that spread through her features wasn't entirely her own. Neither of them were willing to let this 'greater good' crap slide, and both of them were completely focused on the fight. Compared to the last battle they'd had, where Anger had crept into her body little by little, it was a completely different feeling. that energy felt like it would have crushed her if she didn't expel it at someone, but this energy... Vayle took a deep breath, as she held her reactor forward, disappearing in a flash as she made a couple copies of herself while the reactor glowed. She felt light as a feather, and flight felt so easy she may as well have had wings. She was ready to take this challenger down once again. "Light flow!" Vayle echoed, as she became a blur, zipping around her opponent atop Mahoutsukai's broom form. "Shooting echo." Light blue stars were blasted from every direction at Tenchi as Vayle shot around her opponent, exploiting any opening, any flaw, to barrage him with a cascade of stars BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

The stars that the woman had summoned managed to meet their mark, the hellwalker's skin was scorched by the raw magic power. Vayle was quick, and she didn't seem to tire either. He had grown stronger himself, but doubted it would be enough to secure the victory at this point. Even still, he had to fight, that was the very reason he came. His explanations wouldn't sway Vayle's world view, that for for certain. He wasn't the animal he use to be, and wanted to prove that more than anything at the moment. He had little power remaining himself, but even still... He could muster something. Raising a hand at Vayle, who had made some distance between the two of them, he would send another small swarm of fire balls after her. "I doubt either of us will last much longer, we'll have to leave this one to fate." Tenchi would only fight as long as he had to. Maybe he wasn't suppose to beat Vayle in this confrontation. That may have been fate after all. At the same time, he would have to pick up the pace if he wanted to defeat Estrella. Beating Vayle could prove that he was ready for the challenge. "I'm not willing to do this. I'm winning this fight." Vayle replied, having a frown etched into her face. "The reason I became a shinigami was to control fate. not to fall prey to it." With a look of utter defiance, the death god leaped through the air, rocketing with force Dodging and diving through the fiery blaze, Vayle disappeared into the conflagration. With the sound of an exploding grenade, the bolts made their mark on the shinigami, and left her choking and coughing in the blaze as more and more shots struck her and eventually, the woman stopped moving amidst the inferno as the flames engulfed her, leaving even her outline obscured. Then, a discordant power echoed out from inside the fire. black streaks were immediately replaced with the deep purple of Vayle's natural reiatsu as the flames were sent billowing away by a violet sphere. In the middle of it stood Vayle, glaring, with ancient runes and etchings surrounding her. "No idea what it takes to put a hell warrior in traction, but we'll see if this does the trick." The death god held up the miniature reactor with a slow intake of breath. she wasn't concerned about Tenchi running. she knew this technique better. "Magicannon: Final spark!" It was a breath-taking and yet simple sight. At one moment, the sky was clear. In another, a brilliant prismatic beam the width of a battleship simply occupied the space where Tenchi stood. The brilliant light show lasted for five seconds, and coated the entire area in it's eclectic mix of colour, before finally fading. Not waiting to see if her opponent was taken out, Vayle turned around, not bothering to watch her opponent fall from the sky. Putting the mini-hakkero on her belt, she let out a deep sigh. "If I have to hear about something as moronic as 'the greater good' again one more time, I'm going to make it lethal next time." Vayle would finally state. "A death god who does any less than try to save every human life she can is a worthless god indeed. We don't start ignoring our regulations just because one option is inconvenient to us. Otherwise, we're no gods at all." "Until you understand that, don't lecture me on responsibility or duty, Revenant." BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Vayle's world views were unwavering, she wasn't the same 'by the book' shinigami she once was. Or perhaps she wasn't like most shinigami the whole time. Grim mentioned she was one of the strongest within the soul society now, and he could easily see that now. The fact that she was able to continuously use magic without tiring made her nearly unstoppable. Maybe he would find a way to defeat her eventually, he would have to if she intended to keep good on her promise. 'A death god who does any less than try to save every human life she can is a worthless god indeed?' that was incredibly ironic. For every moment Arcadia roams the planet, another human dies, another life suffers. Saving the most lives sounded exactly like a 'greater good' to him. "What kind of death god, doesn't kill when it is necessary? I've been given authority to act, killing her will not throw off the balance between worlds."What Vayle said next was also quite ironic considering her stance on the human, "I'd like to see you try to kill me Vayle. Killing me would be as if you killed another shinigami."
Vayle's attack hard left her and was barreling for the armored man. He knew there was no chance of dodging it, so it would be best to accept his fate and return to hell... The master spark would unsurprisingly land, and a violent flame-filled explosion would occur. When the dust settled, Tenchi would be gone, as if he had vanished instantly. Back in hell the warrior would reappear, injured and beaten. Vayle had gained strength, more than he had. The plus would seek to change that... Vayle Cameo |

"...Heh. You know, it's funny..." Vayle added with a smile. "For all your claims on learning from your actions, you sure don't act like it." Vayle added, sheathing her Kodachi as she saw Tenchi fall. "I never once heard any regret from your voice for your contemplation of murder of someone, not in control of their own actions. That's why I didn't hear you out." Vayle would add. "I don't respect an authority that lacks basic humanity."
As Tenchi continued to try to call her on perceived irony, Vayle shook her head. "Unlike Arcadia, you made every choice to get here on your own. You're a murderer who waves around authority as a justification for taking the easy road. Shinigami have been able to do their job without hell's assistance for centuries now. We don't recognize their authority in our jurisdiction, plus. Go home."
Vayle sheathed her kodachi, thinking back to their first meeting, her reluctant fight with the man when they first met. How she'd believed him to have true morals hidden in him to fight such a selfless fight.
A sigh echoed from her as she reflected to how they'd gotten to where they were now. The Revenant she'd fought was an animal who felt glorified in the killing of hollows, incapable of seeing himself as a monster for killing those he viewed as lesser to him.
Now, this new form of him killed with no trace of remorse. It forced Vayle to confront the sad truth that spiritual growth was not required for a strong warrior, but even so...
"What a waste of good fighting potential he is." Vayle stated, frowning.
Then, the shinigami would fly off, ready to continue her patrol.
