Tenchi had left hell for the first time in weeks only a few hours ago. He would rise to the surface of the earth from a flaming portal provided to him by the overseer of the underworld. The plus was a different man now, he had new motivations, and a new look. While he once wore powerful armor to absorb the attacks of the hollows, he now opted to wear a red armored mouth piece that imbued him with the powers of hell's guardians. At this point, armor would just weigh him down. Looking around the area, it seemed to be the same city he had left a few weeks ago. The very place where Estella had nearly killed and maimed him. Revenant would have gotten angry and started hunting the woman with barbarous rage, but Tenchi had bigger things to worry about. Before he left hell, he was given the challenge of seeking out Vayle and training with her. Only then would he be strong enough to defeat Arcadia. At least that was what grim had told him. The area was well populated, as it seemed to be about noon, but Tenchi failed to pick up on any high reishi signatures. Long ago he would have gone on the hunt, now he would let Vayle come to him... Tenchi would float to the top of a large building where he would begin to release a large amount of spiritual power. A very distinct power at that. Hopefully Vayle wouldn't be too far away, but would she even recognize him with a new body and clothing? Vayle leaped from building to building with pursed lips and a glare affixed firmly to her face. The spiritual pressure she was searching for was familiar, and yet...
She'd never felt Reiatsu this heavy before. Nor this... condemning. There was nothing that felt like this basic make-up, either:
Death god energy never felt like this. Hollow energy never felt like this. Quincy was, she was pretty certain, out, and human energy was never quite this screwed up either. There was nothing she had in her experience that felt the same way as this energy, and while Vayle was loathe to admit it, it was clearly Revenant's familiar signature mixed in.
It was also a whole lot stronger than anything she'd felt from him before.
There was exactly one thing she could think of when it came to the energy she felt, and it was only something she'd read theories and history - some would have called it 'mythology' - on in her academy courses. Not even required reading, really...
When she saw the man with a familiar feeling, but with a new body, new clothing, and...
Well, there was one way to find out.
Vayle popped up right above the man she thought to be Revenant with an uneasy grin.
"...I didn't know you could read." Vayle quipped, ignoring the anger she still felt at the man. "Revenant, what the hell have you done to yourself?"

Tenchi would look up from his tome to see that Vayle was looming over him, not the entrance he had envisioned, but she was here. The plus would stand up before putting the book in his back pocket, staring at Vayle with intent. "I'm glad you showed up... I know I don't look or feel the same, that's because I'm not the same." The intense energy that radiated around them would subside as the lightly armored man dropped his guard. He had wished to speak with Vayle before they fought, it was inevitable. She had no clue that he was no longer considered a criminal by soul society law, or that he had received powers rivaling the Shinigami's. Even if he were to explain everything, he doubted she would believe him, but he would try... "I was searching for you in hopes of a rematch. My training as the champion of hell has nearly drawn to it's end. To conclude, I must do battle with you yet again, in preparation for my fight with Lady Arcadia ... I'm sure, you are already aware of your friend's transformation. In a way I do thank her though, my defeat granted me the powers I have now, and changed my way of thinking..."The black, rubbery suit the covered the pluses body would seem to change it's form. Vayle Sighed and looked to the man she'd known as Revenant, another being she'd once known well, if not in an exactly friendly context, who was now completely different from how she remembered. The man was certainly a lot calmer than he had been, though that wasn't exactly a high bar for him. Compared to the raging animal from before, though, he actually seemed rather... human. As he explained himself, though, Vayle was equal parts irritated and confused. Champion of hell? New powers? A defeat at Estrella's hands... She could not, would not, think of her as Arcadia, no matter who or what insisted otherwise. As he explained that he was going to fight Estrella, and that he was fighting her in preparation for that very moment, though, Vayle groaned. "You were looking for a rematch with me? Fine. Absolutely. But understand... Estrella may be brainwashed by Eleanor, and is absolutely a threat to the peace... but she's still not committed any crime on her own accord, and she's still a human. It's my job to protect humans at all cost." She added with a warning look. "If you're looking for a death-match, we're going to have a problem." And with that, Vayle shrugged and pulled out Mahoutsukai from her sheath. "Dazzle, Mahoutsukai!" With the statement, a roiling blast of rainbow energy barreled straight towards Revenant, glowing as it struck the top of the building and splashed out like Water. "Love Sign: master spark." Tenchi would shoot Vayle a stern look of his own. It seemed as though Vayle was more attached to Estrella than he had even thought. It was a good thing in a way, to love those you protect, but a bad thing for the instructions he was given... The plus would respond to the remarks would a Solemn statement, "Sadly, a death match has been earned, but not for the reasons you may think... If one were to kill Estrella, she would be judged by hell. If she was a truly good soul, then she will become a plus like me, and free herself from any brainwashing. If her soul has truly become evil, she will face hell's judgment." The reishi in the area had clearly intensified as Vayle drew her blade, this would be just the time to show off a few new tricks of his own. Quickly placing his hands into a pyramid like shape he would announce, "Hellcraft: Burning Aura" causing his body to be wrapped in a mysterious mystical fire. The master spark sent his way would collide into him, causing some of the flames to be launched Vayle's way. After the smoke had cleared, Tenchi would appear undamaged by the attack, though perhaps a bit winded. Even with his newfound abilities, the woman was putting up a damn good fight. The flames that surrounded the pluses' body would begin to form into a flaming battle axe in his right hand. The powers of hell were interesting, the flames always gave him what he needed at the right moment. Bolting forward at the woman, he would attempt to land two quick slashes on her torso. Vayle met Tenchi's eyes and saw just the right amount of obstinate stubbornness there to convince her this is still the same person she'd met a long time ago. He then continued to explain his reasoning, and Vayle took a breath to focus herself and formulate her own. Tenchi's speech about what his blade would do to Estrella didn't exactly surprise her - her own zanpakuto was quite capable of doing just the same thing, after all, being a tool to send souls to hell or purify them according to what they had done in their living life. and despite Tenchi's will to fight her, regardless of the authority he had vested in him, regardless of if it might bring her back to who she was... The shinigami protect the living. Vayle clung to that thought as she felt a certain anger seep out, certain chaotic energies seep into her... This proved to be a distraction as a brilliant flaming aura came up in answer to Vayle's attack. "what?!" She snapped, before the flames burned into her flesh. With a look of surprise, the woman jumped back, clutching the burns that came from the strike with a look of shock. stronger than anything he'd accomplished before... completely different in composition- This thought was disspelled by the next attack Tenchi launched, and she was forced to focus on staying out of reach of his next strikes, maintaining an image not as a death god but as a black blur, hopping from foot to foot to stay out of reach of his blows. "Magic sign: Star blazing!" Vayle snapped in a panic, dodging past the attacks. With a blast of force, she hoped she'd be able to keep him off her six long enough to get proper stock of what he was really capable of. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Vayle seemed to be taken off guard by his new capabilities, that was odd to him. Tenchi had figured that all Shinigami were aware of the powers hell could grant, but perhaps they were written off as legends. This knowledge might provide him with a slim advantage for the time being. Even still, actually managing to defeat the woman was a different story. In the past he had never actually managed to defeat the soul reaper, usually just come close to defeating her before he fell in battle. How to actually "finish her off" would be a challenge considering he had never done it before, and didn't even possess his old abilities. "I know that look Vayle, but it's the responsible thing to do. I would be willing to wager a lot that she returns to normal upon death."
As he would finish trying to persuade Vayle, another blast of her star magic would come his way. This would be the right time to try out that new trick he had been working on. Raising the flaming axe above his head, it would reshape itself into a blazing bastard sword. "Hellcraft: Vorpal Sword!" making a single downward cut, a wave of magical flames shaped like a slash would slice directly through the incoming star magic attack. The slash would continue seeking through the sky looking to impact Vayle. Tenchi had expected the battle to go this way so far, but hoped things would take a turn for the better soon. Vayle's glare wouldn't waver, instead becoming more pronounced as Tenshi explained his reasoning. The death god stepped down onto a nearby gargoyle statue. protectors of the living, they were often placed on large, old buildings like this to ward off evil spirits. It often made Vayle wonder if there was ever a death god with the sword of a gargoyle. "It's the responsible thing to do?" Vayle asked with a glare. "I think I've stated this before, Revenant, but you don't understand the first damn thing about a death god's responsibilities. We exist to save lives and keep balance. Killing Estrella would be a dereliction of my duty of the highest degree. Allowing you to do so would be criminal inaction." The flames struck Vayle's spark, and the blast threatened to overwhelm Mahoutsukai's master spark. Were they actually... No. She'd learned that all the way back in their first fight. There was nothing Mahoutsukai couldn't break.Vayle screamed at the top of her lungs, pouring every bit of energy she could muster into the rainbow beam as it surged forward, and the two blasts exploded in a crimson fireball, catching Vayle and most likely Tenchi in the blast. a couple seconds after the flames ceased, and the sky was once again clear, however, Vayle was nowhere to be seen... Before a voice could be heard behind Revenant, a finger placed just behind his back. "Hado number one: Sho!" A blast of kinetic Energy would send Revenant careening straight towards the stone gargoyle at high speeds. She hoped she could trust her fellow guardian's aid, as both of them sought to protect the humans they'd pledged to protect from evil. BATTLE TRACKERSUMMARY

Tenchi wasn't surprised one bit at Vayle's reaction, she was more thick headed than he ever was as Revenant right now. He felt that she lacked the ability to conform to the greater good, unless there was some sort of ritual that could be used to free Arcadia from Elanor's control. He had seen some crazy powers in hell, but none looked as though they were capable of doing that. "Perhaps you fail to understand the gravity of the situation. Every moment she lives, she kills the innocent. She would have killed Takano too if I had not intervened some time ago. Unless you possess some kind of ingenious ritual magic to free her, then there is no other option." The sudden burst of kenetic force would send him flying into the stone creation. The gargoyle would shatter like glass upon impact, and Tenchi would stand with a slightly ruined outfit. Keeping up with Vayle wasn't usually easy, and it wasn't this time either. The flaming sword he was once holding would dissipate, but did give him the opportunity to try out something else new. "Hellcraft: Magma Rain"Speaking these words would cause a dark storm cloud to appear in the sky. Surly enough, molten lava would begin to actually rain from the sky over Vayle. The technique wouldn't last long, but would at least allow him to take back control of the battlefield.
