To protect the order of the Universe... That is justice.
Of course, the way how the man rebutted Amadeo's request did not inspire hope in the vigilante at all. He did not make any assurances and instead declared that the only thing matters is that the Menos is killing people now and it needs to be stopped as soon as possible. Which Amadeo couldn't protest against, obviously, but... doesn't the Soul which got unfortunately turned into this monstrosity deserve a chance for a better life, too? It's no use deciding which souls should be saved and which aren't worthy.
His ally, well, "ally" started preparing an attack for their combo and suddenly yelled at Amadeo to charge forard. A giant arrow was in the grasp of his bow, and judging from the power which was crackling around him, he was definitely going as all-out as he had promised. Well. No reason for him to hold anything back, either - especially since that arrow's gonna fire any moment now.
Amadeo rushed forward and leapt straight off the building, aiming for nothing in particular. The vast stature of the Menos Grande came into full view, the Hollow's eyes staring down upon him. It's going to be now or never.
"Have at you!"
The war hammer in his hand dissipated, turning into a bubble of pure Reishi, which suddenly coated the vigilante's body. The energy soon got sapped and manifested itself once again as a thin aura of Reiryoku and a set of ethereal, electrified wings on Amadeo's back - with which he suddenly accelerated forward and smashed straight into the Hollow's skull like a human-sized torpedo.
An utter mess was left of the Hollow's eye, blood and pure Reishi splattering all over in a thin cloud around the giant creature's face. Amadeo seemingly vanished for a few seconds, only to come into view yet again - his wings missing and his body falling towards the street below.

Slightly before the Vigilante’s hammer impacted, Oliver would release his hold on the ever growing arrow. A thunderclap would echo throughout as the two struck the target, Oliver making sure to delay his arrow by mere seconds so it would deal the piercing blow. The man was obviously not going to kill the Hollow, but by doing this, there was no way for him to stop Oliver’s murderous intent. The blood which had misted out would quickly be evaporated by the incoming arrow, which tore through its head like a needle through paper. The edges of the creature’s mask began to fracture more and more. It would let out one final screech, hundreds of souls shouting in agony as it fell to the ground below. The fact that he needed help to do this served as a rather large bruise on the Quincy’s ego, but it was finally done. There were plenty of questions left unanswered, like why a Menos was on the loose, but those could be saved for later. As the Menos slowly collapsed Oliver fell to one knee. If it wasn’t for his constant training he might of passed out from the exertion. As he caught his breath he’d notice the Vigilante who had helped him falling to the ground, now without the Wings he had summoned. Oliver knew the man could probably survive the fall, but… He did owe him for helping out. As quickly as he could manage, Oliver would trot into the air and catch the man just before he could hit the ground. His armor would slowly begin to fade away as he used it’s Reishi to boost his speed. Finally he would set Amadeo on the ground and crossed his arms. “Are you alive?” He’d ask nonchalantly. To protect the order of the Universe... That is justice.
Amadeo fell across the eye, his exhausted, barely conscious eyes watching a massive arrow impact the mask of the Menos Grande and take it down at last, alongside the hundreds of souls which had been trapped within it. And it clearly wasn't taking those souls to their resting place in Soul Society, for sure... He was hoping to fall to the ground, stand up while powering through the pain, and slap right across that bastard's face, preferably with a large hammer instead of the back of his hand - but, instead of falling to the ground, he got caught in mid-air.
By the same archer he was tenuous allies with. Well, at least he made up for Amadeo saving him less than a minute ago... not that Amadeo ever thought that good deeds such as those are something you can owe. But, it's not like he was going to protest.
As soon as he got set down on the floor and heard the man's question, the vigilante replied:
"You killed it, didn't you? And all the other souls inside..."
For once, he was going to let him words loose just a little bit.
"You fucking asshole..."

Amadeo’s comment would be met with an eye roll from Oliver, who seemed more preoccupied fiddling with his own gadgets rather than the injured Vigilante. After clipping some coins into a small tube, he’d glance back down at Amadeo. “Of course I killed it. When a dog gets rabies, you put it down so it cannot infect others. What is one hundred tainted souls to an entire city?” Oliver paused and knelt down to rest for a bit. “I am a Quincy. The antithesis of a Hollow. I couldn’t save it if I wanted to, and I truly didn’t want to. I’m not going to sit here and bother arguing with you over these beliefs. In the end, I finished the job. I made a plan to end the Menos, I dealt the final shot, and I saved your life. The Shinigami, in their naive efforts to save every Hollow, would have hesitated at best. The Hollow would still be alive and you would be dead” Oliver shifted from kneeling to sitting down as fatigue finally set in. He’d take one, ragged and deep breath before continuing. “You obviously are not a Shinigami and yet you see it best to engage with them. Since you did save my life before, I’ll give you this warning: Find better allies. The Shinigami have a bad habit of commiting genocide on those who do not fall in line, even their own allies” The Quincy reached into his pocket and removed a small capsule, crushing it in his fist as a blue aura slowly surrounded him. “I only have Condensed Reishi. Since you are not a Quincy it would not help you as much” He remarked before looking off at the destruction that the Menos had caused. Amadeo really tried arguing to save a creature that caused this much destruction? Lady Arcadia

"If you had an option between killing the dog, or treating the dog while vaccinating those around him, would you really choose the former?"
Amadeo weakly pulled himself off the ground, sitting down and taking a few jagged breaths, when Oliver offered him Condensed Reishi to help him recover. Instead of accepting it, however, the vigilante merely turned his face to the other side. Sure, it was going to hurt, but it was a decision he chose to make regardless.
"I am an agent of God. It is through his will that I was able to survive being abandoned all alone for most of my life and I was gifted this strength, so my life is spent repaying this favor. I used to act just like you, working all alone and murdering Hollows left and right, but..." Amadeo stopped for a second, staring at the distance. "...well, I have come to realize that this was not the order of the Universe. There is a hierarchy of Souls and a cycle of life and afterlife which needs to be maintained. And justice is not just helping those in need - it's to protect the natural order of the Universe as well. I'm not allies with the Shinigami on principle, but because they too seek this exact goal."

Stubborn, like a child turning away from their parents in a huff. It would almost be amusing if Oliver hadn’t been saved by that child… Indeed, that was the only reason the Quincy was suffering Amadeo any longer than he had to. Oliver stretched as the man decided to explain what he was, deciding not to comment on the Vigilante’s flawed logic. Of course he had to include the “I was once like you” spiel. Could this guy be anymore predictable? “Do not compare me to you, Spec. I may act alone, but there are many who still call themselves Quincy. Much to the Shinigami’s scorn…” He’d cross his arms. “Have you ever been told about the first Quincy war? How they brutally murdered my entire people for trying to do what we were born to do? Tortured their souls in the afterlife? Not even the Bount Genocide could compare to the pain that the Quincy have felt at the hands of the Shinigami. I was born to kill Hollows, my entire existence is toxic to them. I don’t care what some self proclaimed Death gods say is the natural order…” Oliver would stand and give a glare at Amadeo. “...I am the natural order. You may have saved my life, but do not misconstrue my generosity. You are not my ally and you will never change my view on this world. When next we meet, do not expect the same kindness I have shown here” The Quincy casually walked to the edge of the building, looking down at the destruction once more. “Someday you will see the truth for yourself. Perhaps then, I can consider you an ally. I certainly will not deny that you have skills in combat” Lady Arcadia

Oliver's outburst did not strike much reaction from Amadeo - his eyes merely followed the Quincy as he walked off to the edge of the building, spouting all of his hatred of the Shinigami and listing all the ways how his people were wronged by them. There was clearly a lot of pent up emotion involved, as if he was just dying to tell Amadeo everything that his heart wanted.
"Out of the two of us, you're the one who's trying to convert the other - seeing as you've been telling me to stop working with the Gotei 13 ever since Shinigami were first mentioned." the vigilante calmly rebutted and pulled himself back onto his feet, resting his war hammer on his shoulder. "I'm not interested in trying to convert you - nobody ever ordered me to stop and turn towards the light, either. The thing is that you and I may have whatever opinions we want, but God's order is always going to be above waiting to be discovered."
Much like Oliver, Amadeo walked off to the edge of the building, though on the other side, to keep his distance from the Quincy as large as possible.
"Not that I can't despise you just as much as you do me, but... I figure that was already clear to both of us."

Of course Oliver was attempting to warn Amadeo of the Shinigami’s misdeeds, it is unjust that they have not been accounted for it. Ywach made them suffer, which was a good start, but Oliver didn’t want a start. The Shinigami needed to feel what they felt, to be destroyed within a small handful of their kind. Maybe then they’d begin shifting their cowardly ways… Oliver tapped his foot on the roof, sending dust and a few pieces of rubble to the ground. “Our god was Ywach” Oliver stated simply. “And the Shinigami took him away as well. I don’t despise you, at least not anymore. I can’t despise someone who saved my life, though I hate that it had to come to that. That is why I am warning you. The Shinigami may act as your friend, but they’d like nothing more than to take you out of the equation. Perhaps dissect you to see what makes you tick. Anything to keep someone from taking their precious “Death God” role” Oliver glanced over his shoulder at the man who had sought to further himself from the Quincy. Smart, but wholly useless. Oliver didn’t need to be close to the man to harm him. “Stay out of my way, and I’ll stay out of yours. I don’t care what you do to those Hollows, because in the end they’ll all end up with an arrow through the head. But if you try to stop me, I will not hesitate to send one through yours” Lady Arcadia

Now that the two of them got to know each other more closely, the Quincy began to come off as more and more... one-note, to be less offensive about it. Whenever the Shinigami were mentioned, he would almost immediately remind of the fact that they wronged him, and his entire species, and everything they stand for. There's a lot of unresolved issues and hatred there, clearly.
Though Amadeo worked with the Shinigami, he never considered himself to be truly one of theirs. Hell, until not too long ago, he might have stated that he hates Shinigami outright - or, more specifically, he hated a specific one, without knowing much about the rest or about the order which Gotei 13 fights for. Of course, that time has come to an end, but...
Well, there is clearly still a lot for him to learn.
Hearing the Quincy declare that he should stay out of his way or else he'll end up with an arrow through his head, the vigilante faintly scoffed. A thinly veiled threat, not uncommon for the man to throw. Amadeo's facial expression did not waver, however.
"In that case, then, if we meet next time, I will be sure to save you again. Adios."

The vigilante seemed to finish what he had to say, most likely preparing for a quick escape. Despite Oliver’s reservations on the man, he had to admit that the man wasn’t as… Unskilled as he had previously thought. Was the man still a bleeding heart seeking to save abominations? Yes, most certainly so. There was also the “Mission From God” lunacy that the man touted so readily, almost like a mad priest seeking- No… It wasn’t right to think that way of the man. Oliver knew full well that he wasn’t a lunatic, nor did he seek any power or worshippers. The man just wanted to do his job. Of course Oliver would never tell that to the man. Doing so would put his honor, his very pride at risk. Though perhaps Oliver would reconsider sending an arrow through the man’s face, instead aiming for a limb. No saving required. As Amadeo gave his final goodbyes, Oliver would lift his hand up and give a short wave before taking one step forward. Slowly he would descend to the ground, blending into a large crowd of panicking civilians. Something Oliver was very familiar with. Slowly he’d make his way through before finally reaching a dark alleyway, disappearing completely. Lady Arcadia
