Chapter 6: Trial of Wit
As the Leviathan had returned to rest beneath the waters of hell's second level, the skeletal man Grim would return to the pluses' side. He looked like he knew that the unarmored man would lose to the massive best, but seemed excited at the same time. "You failed to defeat him, but you were humbled by his strength. Someday, you may be able to defeat even him Tenchi..." A sparkle would shine in Tenchi's eyes at the remark. Even with a clean soul, the plus craved battle. It was simply his destiny, whether it be to fight a hollow, or a dragon... "This trial is over, we shall descend to the third level of this fiery world... The third trial awaits after all."
The plus would roll back his shoulders and remark, "Very well. I'll continue on the path then." Walking over to a massive set of steps as before, he and his skeletal mentor would walk down to a heated wasteland. Yellow lava would flow around the area without any other souls in sight. It was very ominous all things considered. The reishi in the area did appear to be scare, which was odd for a spiritual land such as hell... "Grim, our powers are weakened here... What is this trial anyhow?" The skeletal man knew that the plus was curious, but a bit of mystery would be helpful for this next task. "Perhaps you should wait and see. Your trial will come to you, as it has in the past..."
Tenchi gave a shrug as the statement, the question as to what was coming walked through his mind until he suddenly felt a powerful energy signature. Grim would smile again, "That power you feel is that of my people. The skeletal guardians of hell. The one who watches over this plane will soon come to hunt you down, even will hellcraft, he'll be nearly unbeatable. Your task is to defeat him." A flaming wind would brush against Grim, causing him to disappear. On top of a flaming cliff in the distance would be the skeletal behemoth in question. It's eyes looked lifeless, but it was far from dead.
It would give the unarmored plus a long stare before jumping down and charging his direction. It appeared as if it wanted to fight the plus head on. Why would it not if his energy was weakened on this level of hell? Tenchi would raise an arm to the air, causing a flaming battle axe to appear in his hand. He doubted it would harm a being of hell, but it would be more than nothing...
